So, lately I've been resetting my whole computer due to some sort of virus or something malicious. I think it's because my laptop has no sort of protection what so ever. I was wondering if anyone knew a good anti-virus I could use, and if it's possible if you sent the link to me, because I don't want to download the wrong thing. x3 Please and thank you~
I would suggest NOT WINDOWS DEFENDER. But something like Malware Bytes (I use) or EST NOD 32 Antivirus but that costs money and SLOW
I recently uninstalled Avast as it was incompatible with my build of Windows, and I think I'm going to install either McAfee (which I have the disk for, but it doesn't fit in my drive ;c) or if you're looking for something free, MalwareBytes. I had McAfee, but my computer was like no longer compatible with it because the download is so out of date. I can try Malwarebytes, but it only does the checking is all, it doesn't really protect anything, unless it's the bought version.
Mcafee is bad. There was a test done and some journalist got the inside scoop of it. And they hire exploiters to purposely corrupt some part of the program. #MalwareBytes4tw
Yeah it kinda sucked, but I removed it as soon as I reset my computer just in case that was the reason, and I thought it might of been Google Chrome as well, so now I am using FireFox, and it's so different from Chrome.
I guess it's not my place to say anything though, I will just download everything needed on my computer, then create a restore point on it, so if anything does happen, I won't have to worry about resetting everything all over again.
Yesterday I downloaded this fake software installer, and it installed 20+ viruses and malwares onto my computer until I force shutdown my computer. xP My anti-virus was spamming me with alerts, rip.
Malware Bytes. It's awesome. Simple, checks your whole computer, and you can decide what you want the scanned files to do. Delete, quarantine (basically pause), or keep.
