It's extremely dumb to say white pride and straight pride doesn't matter. We get it, gays and blacks have gotten more hate in the past. But not everything a white, straight person says is racist or homophobic.

This can simply be explained by human anatomy. Literally, put the pieces together. Not to mention that marriage was created for man and woman. It's, most of the time, celebrated as a religious bonding of a male and female. If anything, forcing a priest who is against gay marriage to marry a gay couple is dumb. It goes against his/her belief, and imo is as bad as forcing a gay person to be straight.

Now, let me clarify. If you're more comfortable identifying yourself as a gender that, technically, you're not, go for it. Nobody can stop you and you're allowed to be happy just like everyone else. However, this is not the place to announce it. Tell your friends; tell your family. But honestly, I agree with Stel on this one. I feel as though you posted this to get attention, and therefore I have a negative reaction to this. It's just... Uncalled for.

Sorry Pinky. I like you, but I'm going to have to agree with Lime on this one.

Ok. I am a straight, white male. I am proud of who I am, and I am proud of things that other straight, white males have done. George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Robert Kennedy, Renee Descartes, Edmund Burke, John Locke, Baron de Montesquieu, John Jacques Rousseau, Winston Churchill, Adam Smith, and Christopher Columbus are a few names that come to mind right off the bat. These men were all straight, white men, and they were all great men. They were human. They were not without faults, but they shaped the world today, and if you think that you can tell me that I can't be proud of them because they were straight, white men, then I want nothing to do with you. Just because you are celebrating one group doesn't mean that you are bashing all other groups. That's not freedom of speech. That's not democracy. That's just an over-glorified guilt trip, and I will not stand for it.

Saying that straight people cannot be proud of who they are is just wrong. It actually feels like you hate straight people by stating that. People should be allowed to celebrate no matter their gender and sexual identities. It doesn't matter if they are straight or lgbt and other letters. We need to practice acceptance to gain acceptance.
Gay pride rubbish is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I myself am the b in the lgbt but hell, when I hear that there are countries that it is a crime to be gay, you can be jailed for it, killed for it... there is no such thing as pride there... I feel ashamed. There are families in trouble, poverty, animals in need and many, many sick people and racial discrimination... much bigger issues than this and im supposed to be rallying for more acceptance and showing pride?

Your identity does not need to be the highlight of the forums. The same this happened when you came out as a lesbian. Tell people close to you, find a forum for people like yourself but don't expect understanding here. I learnt that a long time ago. This isn't a thread about you getting people to call you by a different pronoun, you could have told people on a profile post. People dislike these things.

    Is this thread actually important?
Not necessarily. I mean, it's good to hear that you're letting us know and how you're doing but we have kids at the age of 10 or less :p (You might want to reconsider the title of this thread). This topic isn't quite needed for everyone to apprehend of those at that age because this isn't appropriate for their experience in a virtual game. This is Minecraft people, not a gender approach of who you are. Kids don't need to know a person's sexual identity in relation to the gender to which they are attracted; the fact of being heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, etc.

Is sexual orientation born at birth? Well... yes.
Whether sexual orientation is a trait, we are born with and caused by the environment we are raised in. Sexual orientation, much like handedness is determined by natural and biological factors such as our genes or hormones. People should be entitled to the same legal rights and protections as other human beings. It does not matter whether you're trans, agender (pronouns them/they), gay, lesbian, straight, etc. Society will just throw labels right on your face.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause such a ruckus, this thread at first was just to explain to people because I didn't want to have to explain it over and over again.

I understand you all being offended, I was trying to stuck up for myself and it got out of hand fast and for that I'm sorry.

And about being straight and proud, I never ment not being proud of who you are, I was trying to point out that the reason we have lgbt pride and black history month is because of oppression not only in the past but in everyday life. I'm not telling every straight and white person that they're all scum, that would be stupid and wrong, I was just trying to say that we have those things for a reason. I get that I worded it VERY wong, and again I'm sorry for that, I never ment to offend people but I can't do much now then say sorry.

If your still mad I don't blame you, tell me and I'll say sorry to you personally if you'd like.

By all means stand up for yourself but
    1) you accused Stel of being transphobic when her only problem was this thread and you not the whole of the trans community. She went overboard but it is her view.
    2) you discounted the other identities and disregarded them just for being majority.
    3) you still don't understand threads like this, much like threads you have made in the past will get heated no matter if you apologise, word things wrong or otherwise.

My advice is not get caught up in the labels and the politics of your identity. Because its not important. Actually embrace who you are, not get everyone else to. Your identity is not for show. Its personal.

How I see it is as, I am proud of you, but it's like this, it's no ones business if you're sexuality is different. LGBT has been fighting for equal rights, how is labeling ourselves different, equality. All you need to be is you, and that's all that matters, Pinky.
Not everyone will accept you, but that's life, be proud of yourself, but creating a thread about your sexuality was probably not the proper route to go. If someone asks you your sexuality that's one thing to answer, but to publicly announce it is another thing as well.

Sorry, why is it offensive? xD You're a transgender person, correct? That word shortened is trans. That word in slang is tranny. Really shouldn't be considered offensive. Like television. It can be TV, it can be telly, they all mean exactly the same thing, and are practically the same word, and that TV ain't gonna be offended depending on which one I use.

Sorry Pinky, love ya, but js. o3o

The f*** happened in this thread?
Jeez, stel has no room to talk about attention because she makes the same threads, if not more of them.
As for OP, I feel like this is more of an introduction rather than something that should be labeled as "something everyone should know"
Meh, Krissy, I get what you're saying too, I'm not against gays or anyone that's in the variety of what people choose to be or anything, but imo, the publicity is very blown up.

People call me she all the time in game and I could care less, because I don't care what people think of me. I'm not going to write anything else here; I'll probably get really heated and start arguing a lot.

I understand where every point is coming from.
Pinky, it's good that you stood up for yourself and that is great,
but... I'm really sorry but only your family, relatives and close friends should know about this. I know you get this a lot by basically everyone BUT... there are a lot of strangers of this server and some people may say "I don't care" or "Does this thread even matter?" to "This is a minecraft forums, not facebook" or even "wtf idc". So, 1: Don't let this drag you down, just understand that: I respect your gender and beliefs but somewhere over the rainbow there are a lot of screaming mad people ( Stel I don't mean you personally ) over there.

In the end, you should keep this a private topic and not public, you may consider deleting or locking this thread, or keep it. But, this looks like attention seeking.

Congratz and have a great life as a male :)
