This is a warning to people out there. I have been reading through reports and ban appeals and stuff in my free time (I do it so I can learn the rules to the full extent, don't question my hobbies). I have found out something BIG. I don't know exactly how, but people are making these fancy command books, with links. When these links are clicked, it forces the person who clicked the link to run a command. People have been trying to use these to force other people to give them there money, and as I saw the other day, some person gave one to Sakura, and I still have no clue what that one was going to do. Now I know I am no Mod, I am no bid well known member, but I want to warn everybody, if someone tells you to click something in a book, DO NOT DO IT, unless you trust them to the fullest extent. If you find it suspicious, or you do click the book and something bad happens, REPORT IT, and let a mod handle it. Once again, DO NOT CLICK LINKS IN BOOKS. PEOPLE MAY SCAM YOU. Edit: Also, if YOU are out there making these books, you will probably be BANNED. Please be nice to others, and DON'T DO THIS!
The books are made using a hacked client. If you ever see a book that makes you click a link hand it to a mod. Cyp also made a warning on this a while back
This was informed by Cyp a few months back, it got archived or somethin'. What I can see, the amount of these books have been decreased. But thanks for telling people who never saw that thread. c: But anyways, I'm pretty sure Cyp had/still maybe has a plugin on .net (maybe .org.) where it'd warn you before opening a book.
I think cyp meant net. The net books disappeared (mostly?). Seems like it's time for cyp to help org out. Never seen the book since the restart, but i was inactive in the last 1-2 months. Thank you for telling everybody, i'll inform some on org too. EDIT: Can anybody post the thread of cyp? Can't find it
I've found a linked book on net. The content in it has been filtered, and you can't click the link anymore. But yes, this is a good warning . It's like clicking links in suspicious emails or websites. You shouldn't click them because you don't know what they will do. Thank you for the warning.
