There may be some negatives to this I haven't thought of but for me, it would be good to lock my island to all but those trusted by me.
This would be handy for people with alts, they can easily access their alts islands while leaving them locked.

If you have the option to turn it off then that would be ok. However I don't know if this is in the plugin or not.

 

Even people I really trust I wouldn't like on my island without my permission, no support.

 

No support. If your island is locked then it most likely because you don't want other players on it. Plus, players could act like your friend resulting in you trusting them, then they could greif your island.

 

If you want to have your island opened, then unlock it; same goes for locking. We have logblock, and we can trace who'd place water/lava.

Only administrators can rollback islands, and I highly doubt rollbacks will occur unless it's a giant rare-item griefing. And it doesn't always work out that way, it's not as simple as saying to do what you state.

 

Considering the only reason a refund will be given to the griefed or a ban will be dished out to the griefer will only occur when the grief is due to an exploit, thats hardly the case.
Griefing isn't against the rules, as you're required to be trusted to break things. It was added to remove the need to worry about griefing previously. The end result was if a player trusts someone, they can't hide behind the rules to have stuff returned to them that they carelessly lost.
That applies to everyone, as before it wasn't your option whether or not the island was griefed, now its up to you who is allowed to grief it.

 

Its a great idea, in a perfect world. But alas, we are not so lucky.

 

Maybe if you could choose from your /trust list who can go on your island even when it's /locked?

 

No support, if someone's island is locked, it's locked for a reason.
