Standard price: $1 = 10 diamonds, however, this is only if you pay in straight diamonds. If you pay in rares, the total value must be 25 diamonds higher than the regular price. (Ex: $10 upgrade so you pay 125 diamonds worth of rares or 100 straight diamonds
