Custom Titles

    One of the basic features on Xenforo for profiles is a custom title to display. I think it would be pretty nifty to have Custom titles. Now there are a few ways I can think to allow this.
    One is to have custom titles available to all - which mods can be given the permission to remove custom titles if they are rude, inappropriate etc
    Another is to allow people to request custom title changes in which mods will be given the perms to change for people or Zambiana can. This can be done by thread, or utilize the moderation function if possible.
    Lastly only allow those who reach well-known member to have a custom title by requesting it and a mod changing it or Zambiana.
    So basically Cyp can approve and Zambiana must be willing. Or, nothing i guess.

    What do you mean by custom title? As in active member, new member, senior member etc?

    I wouldn't suggest something we already have. Those titles come from a ranking system. What I'm talking about is the ability to replace those to something you would like to have. Eg if you want you would have a title called "worlds best lover" replacing the active member title.

    Sorry. Phrased my question poorly. I meant is that what you meant. And I think that if it's implemented it should only be for well-known or maybe even just for experienced or senior members.

    Are you saying I can have a title called 'Fangirl', or 'Mad Shipper' [ FluffyNeedle ]?
    If so, #Support, and maybe only admins like Zambi could change it, like name changes ;p

    Plus, 'Well-Known Member' is too hard to get ;-;
    I've been here for a while, and I'm still 'Active Member' :<

    yeah I also agree with Adrian, custom titles are better for people that have earnt anything higher than 'active member'.

    I've been here one day short of two months longer than you have and I'm still an Active Member. I don't exactly think that it's too hard to get. I just wish I had it :p

    Back on topic: I think this would be kind of cool. However, this may be kind of like Cyp changing Skygod prefixes in the way that people want them done and they only happen sometimes despite people repeatedly attemtping to get Cyp's attention in chat whenever he is on. Maybe full mods and smods should be able to change them.

    *cough* or we could get more forum mods/admins *cough* *cough*

    Title changes should be requested like username changes.
    They would only happen if a staff member approved it.

    Back on topic, support, I think well-known members and up should have it. Should be like a privilege to have the custom title.

    Personally I only think experienced members+ should get titles. Mods cannot change their title.

    I wanted Cyp to attempt to link donor rank to the forums automatically through BuyCraft and use ranks to give users better rewards and such, such as a custom rank with a unique coloured name and such.
