I used to be a Android person. I used to own 2 samsung phones which served me well for a few years, however, I was lured in by Apple. Nowadays I simply prefer the reliability of Apple and the smoothness of the iOS system. Apple's tablets are extremely reliable in my opinion and is well worth the cost. Their phones are also reliable, however the specifications could be improved massively. I do really like customization side of Android with all widgets and the different ways that you can lay out your homescreen. With Apple, you either have to deal with it, or grow to like it which is what I have done.
For my Phone I used an Samsung Galaxy S6 and it prefer it to the Iphone 6 and 6+ my brother and dad have. However, that being said, I'd always recommend those who are new to smartphones to get an Iphone due to their simplicity and easiness to use. In terms of tablets, I prefer Apples Ipad to the offerings of Samsung.
Samsung. If a gun was held to my head and I had to choose between the two, I'd just laugh. No competition. I'm getting a new phone (hopefully) today, Samsung Galaxy S2. Woooo >u<
