Hi I would like that this server enables hoppers, because I want to make a donation box. Currently, a hopper has no use, and when you drop items on it, it bounces off. I hope that this gets fixed later!
They were enabled, than disabled to place, then enabled again, then disabled for use. Now with island protection it's a lot harder to grief and loot. I don't see anything wrong with hoppers being enabled again. Support.
I support this although a duplication glitch might still exist with hoppers. This is the main reason they are disabled and sadly, until mojang fixes them, they can't be enabled on the server.
Actually, there is a community mod which fixes the hopper duplication glitch. I'll look it up now and link it. Support !
Yes it would be beneficial to enable hoppers for players to make donation boxes and other hopper related creations but if I'm not mistaken the hoppers were disabled due to the duping glitch from Minecraft 1.7. To re-enabled this would allow players to continue to clone items and become TOO rich. Doing so would ruin [.net] and [.org]'s form of economy (grass blocks/in-game balance). Until the bug can be fixed for 1.8 I believe that the hoppers will remain useless. However, the 1.8 update has been in effect for quite some time... and not much regarding hoppers has been changed... Mojang doesn't run these servers Skyblock [.net] and [.org]. Noobcrew, CypriotMerkz, and the Developers run this server.
