Hello everyone. I have seen this in other places and I think it might be quite useful here also. So how it works is whatever the IGN of a player on .net, or .org is, it will automatically set there forum name as that too. We could have a feature that allows us to link a Minecraft account IF WE CHOSE. People who may want to keep the forum name and not have it as there IGN do not have to link there account. So yea.

 

Well everyone should be able to link there account. I don't think it should change the forum name though. Maybe the IGN can be listed below the Forums name.

His idea is a little different, he wants the forum name and IGN to automatically be the same after you link an account.

 

Oh then:

Because maybe the people want to have a different name on the forums than ingame.

 

Hmm, if what Crepper said is correct then no support. Many mbers would probly not like their forums name to be automatically set to their IGN. If there IGN was somewhere at the bottom of their forums name, then I believe that would be a better choice.

All I was saying was, what if someone wants to link their account but wants to keep a separate forums name?

What about when the player changes their name?

 

It's linked to the account so I assume the forums name changes as well

 

The plugin in the screenshot above changes the name when the player changes their name.

 

This sounds interesting as long as players have the option not to link their minecraft accounts. support

 

Hmm.. Support.. But, It would be nicer to have whatever name they want to on the forums, and then under it their ign? Idk, But the idea sounds good.

 

Support but should be optional definitely not compulsory.

 

As Talia_ mentioned there is a plugin on another forum that is pretty awesome.

You could have your minecraft name linked to your forums account if you want and it could show your rank. And with the api of skyblock it would even update name and rank if a developer works something out. Of course not a stat site as on the forums shown, that would be too much copying.

 

I think this should be completely optional.
