So stupid that I have to argue if 9/11 is important or not. f*** my generation. Have fun bud. I'll laugh so f***ing hard once someone who has actually been effected by it comments. You'll feel so great about yourself wouldn't you? Because being satanic is coolio.
If I am not correct I think the first major terrorist attack on US soil was when the US slaughtered and butchered Natives and Enslaved Africans.
Colonists had been slaughtering Native Americans even before that, ignoring the fact that the US did not exist at the time.
And if we weren't, the entire world would be under Nazi control right now. If not, then Soviet control. Maybe next time, you can get France to do it. Also, just all in all, I'm not one for censorship, but some of you are really disappointing me right now. It's not about the number of people that died, it's about the symbolism. They crashed planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and attempted the White House. Does that mean nothing to you?
Everyone who is saying other things about this. This is specifically to remember people who died at 9/11. Not Jews, Muslims, or Natives. You guys should be ashamed, great people lost there lives.
It does mean something.. just not to us. It doesn't mean anything to the soviets but it does to us.. get the point?
Actually, the Native Americans sold their land to the Europeans willingly. They were of the belief that land could not be purchased. Therefore, by "selling" the land, they were scamming the Europeans out of their jewelry and such. Also, the Africans traded through the slave trade were being captured by other Africans in an attempt to become rich. "antagonizing muslims" People think blacks are stupid, that whites are prejudiced, that women are weak, that men shouldn't have emotions, that bronies are pedophiles, that scotsmen hump sheep, that people who play sports are cocky, that people who play videogames are not sociable. Stereotypes are everywhere for everyone. Don't play the victim.
A lot of heroism happend this day. Thank you firefighters for trying you're best! Especially cherish everyone who had died among this day.
Just because I mourn the loss of some of my family friends that died in the 9/11 incident, doesn't mean I don't care for the millions of lives lost in the Middle East, Japan, even the natives that were persecuted in the Americas. I lost some people I was close with on 9/11. So yes. It is a big deal for me. Arrest me for being emotional about it. But my heart still reaches out to families in other nations that also suffered great losses. So stop arguing.
This is honestly becoming an agrument thread instead of a thread that was specifically for rememberance.
Some Native Americans did not want to be involved with the Europeans at all. Although Africans did play a major role in the Atlantic slave trade, it was the Europeans (Portuguese) that started it all, arguably. 9/11 was the last nail on the head, and many politicians undoubtedly antagonized Muslims in order to get what they wanted, and they did.
Doesn't seem like it. Those who know some basic US history would know that I was referring to the Afghans.
America itself was disgraced. The terrorists attempted to do the only thing they knew how: cause terror. They attacked the most important buildings to damage our morale. In actuality, they almost caused a great disruption in our economy, as people were scared to fly on planes or even go to work every day. It didn't cause any other problems like that because we were strong and people knew how to handle the situation. If I shoot you with a gun, but you're wearing a bulletproof vest, the fact that you didn't die doesn't negate the fact that i tried to shoot you in the first place.
