I personally think that local chat on .org is a great idea. Why not bring it to .net?

 

Two chats? I mean, there's already enough spam, I believe it'd be hard for mods to moderate twice the spam.

 

Local chat doesn't cause spam. It's just the people within a certain block radius of you so it would essentially just be coop members, visiters on your island, and sometimes someone on an adjacent island. In fact it's often used to eliminate spam by putting new players in it automatically. (I don't like it when they do that though because it's confusing and drives away potential players)

 

I remember local chat on .org was very confusing to me when I first started playing. But it didn't take long to figure it out.

 

A local chat could mean some kind of market area where people can go to advertise their shops instead of in the global chat.

During their time in the market, they can only recieve PMs, and not see the global chat.

 

Support, would be nice it would be like a small group chat. It was very confusing on org at first but then someone explained it and I understood.

I agree with Keranha, when I first started out I frequently used /chat to communicate with my coops. Support.
