This is a tutorial for how to spawn squids.

NOTE: Squids only spawn in y=46-62 layers.

After you have done that, the rest is simple. All you do is build a 10x10 square or however large you want, the next step is to put water inside it. After that, just place the spawner(s) about 2 blocks above the water, (if you like, you can just place them at the bottom of the water, but above the water is probably better.

That is all you have to do! You just have to wait for them to spawn.
TIP: You should probably make about 2-4 spawners because if you only place 1, the squids take a while to spawn if you are using a god item.

Just to tweak some things here,

1. The levels they spawn at is y=46-62
2. I believe it's only a 9x9 square, but a 10x10 wouldn't hurt
3. Squids do not have to spawn in water
