What is spam? What's your definition of spam, what are some examples of what you call "spam" Is spam 1 message per chat page? 2 messages per chat page? 3? 1 message every second? Of course if there is just a flood of messages by one person that is spam, but what about the smaller messages. Here's some examples, feel free to comment what you think is recognized as spam. Example 1 : Say, a player is advertising their banner shop. Player 1: [Banner Shop] BANNER SHOP IS OPEN COME COME!!! (caps pro) Player 1: [Banner Shop] BANNER SHOP IS OPEN COME COME!!! Example 2 : A player is advertising a trade. On topic: Wurst hacked client has something for this. For every duplicate msg (or similar) it just puts [3] at the end of the original. (or however many times it was spammed)
Spam: Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Messages. Spam have many examples but on the server we look out for the following: 1. The same message (or slightly changed message) repeated more than once a chat page or repeating less than 15 seconds apart 2. Posts with excessive characters and nonsense (may be repeated or posted only once, it is still considered spam) 3. Posting one word/letter per line 4. counting up or down or in general, posting random numbers (in accordance with rule 1, posting numbers by themselves is ok, just remember to post at least one per chat page or every 15 seconds 5. Using the .annoy hack excessively (eg .annoy chains of 3+ people) 6. Colour spam, excessive use of colour in messages. Yes this is a thing, noobcrews official rules state this. Of course the general rules on profanity, vulgarity and advertising apply under the spam rule.

Depends on the spam. If its intentionally malicious, ignore and report. Either ignore by just ignoring or /ignore. If the person is reasonable, just nicely ask to stop.
Well if they care to listen, just ask them to slow down the messages, stop spamming, do not post duplicate messages etc.
