Hello, my in-game is xxxmentiexxx and i would like to suggest an idea i just had. I have different platforms and it s kinda annoying when i have to use /jump all the time or jump down. For other players without ranks it is even harder without warps now to get on different platforms. And here is where my suggestion comes in.
Could there be a way to link up portals with each other so you can walk trough the portal on layer 1 and pop out again on layer 2. this should also work in the opposite direction. This would be very usefull, please give me your thoughts about this or even improve this idea

I think this would be a really cool thing to put in, but it can cause some issues, e.g. Griefing. If you're trusted and your friend has a locked island, you can have a portal open to a locked island and grief the island.

It'd be nice at spawn to other warps, though.

 

Possibly, either add warps, add some kind of sign tp, having to be placed by the owner of the island and put coords at bottom, then when you right click, you tp to those coords! (must be on your island) Or add that.For example, make a space just enough for a player, stand in it, and type /portal link 1, then make another, somewhere on your island, and do /portal link 2. Then they work.

 

We should just allow players to set warps again

But, the 2 linked portals should only be allowed on the same island. This means that portals cant teleport from one island to another

I totally just thought of this being like the game portals, "Can we have the orange and blue effects too!"

I like the idea and it could be set by signs or something to indicate the portal xD Support

 

If you have several platforms on your island and want to get down to them safely, there are many methods. You could use water, ladders, slime blocks. My favorite is slime blocks because you can cover them with carpet to make a cute design.

 

I would suggest adding warps back instead. You can always use water though to get down and up platforms. It would be a cool idea though.

 

The way I get to my bottom platform is by placing some slime blocks on the bottom platform with water few blocks above it. When you drop, the water slows you down first; then you hit the slime blocks, which bounces you up to the water again and slows you down; then you land on the slime blocks finally.

 

For .Ne,t maybe try sleeping in a bed, then you have access to /homes.
For .Org, as stated above, they should add warps back.

 

I didn't say anything about teleporting to other islands, only on your own island, it s faster moving around your island and the water drops are an idea, but going back up with ladders or something is so slow ... And as Megadorkvikki said use slime elevators, but those can't reach 50 blocks, exept if you build in several parts what is kinda annoying and this would probally laggy cause it's a server :s
The linked portals would be usefull to travel fast around your island. Or just add the warps again But this is just a suggestion for when warps won't return, i think this would be a great and usefull method to travel around your island.
