I am considering changing my name and was wondering if I would lose:
1. My rank (Overlord and Donor100)
2. My island
3. My items

If you have changed your name and have experienced problems, please let me know

 

Yes is safe. Just need to removed all you lockette signs before you do it.

 

I'm not ranked on org but when I changed it on net I didn't lose my rank or my island. But you can't access your /lockette chest with your old name so make sure to take the signs off or you will have to get a mod to do it for you.

 

On other servers, it may function differently.

-You may lose ranks on other servers.
-Any servers that you have MCMMO on will be reset.
-Your island may be lost.

But please, do what you like.

 

I changed my name like a month ago, kept everything including rank, island, items, and so on. So I'd say its perfectly safe. Like everyone else said, just unlock your chests and remove any chestshops you have.

Yeah, since the server updated to 1.8, the UUID thingy is safe now, so you won't lose anything.

 

You won't lose anything, my sister changed her name two days ago, she had OL, she kept her island, etc.

 

As said you will have your island and items but just break all you're lockettes

 

Be CAREFUL! A close friend of mine changed his name, someone stole his Old name, and took access to His OPPrison plot and robbed him blind.

Be very sure you know what your doing, take thought of Every server you play on, and use an Alt as a backup on regions that are protected which you might loose access to.

 

The only servers I play are net and org and a large server with minigames and such, don't want to mention the server name but most people here play on it as well so you might be able to figure it out.
