Like many other servers, I really love that /mail feature. Where we can sen messages to offline players, and they can see it when they get back online. It'll be cool!

 

Support, I suppose. I mean, it could be nice to be able to message offline players so that they receive it upon logging in, mostly for those who don't use the forums.

 

50% Support. It will be easier to contact inactive players using /mail, however people can advertise or spam using /mail easily.

Maybe there could be a functionality that you couldn't send the same message to multiple people? Or not to more than five people? It wouldn't be perfect, but I'm thinking it's not super easy for would be spammers to list offline players. It might be inconvenient for mods or high profile players who are well known, but maybe receiving mail could be optional? And if you tried to mail someone who didn't want it (or only wanted from a trusted list) you would get an error message.

Agreed! However a player could easily just ignore the player so they don't receive their spam mail.
and maybe you could limit how many letters you can send in a period of time.
