This is honestly the funniest thing I have seen this month. You sir get a medal in my messed up mind. My ideas on how to handle this situation. 1. Change his name in-game to something like (HugMeDaddy) and if he wants another name he can buy donor and get a nickname or just change his username on mojang, Its better then being muted. 2. We could start a fund to get him $10 donor so he can change his nickname to something more appropriate so he can enjoy the server like everyone else.
We all seem to have our own opinion of what we interpret the in-game name to mean. There's so far two interpretations going around. One being sort of perverted and another being a simple kind relationship with a father and child. Roblox had the right to mute the player if he feels it could have some inappropriate meaning. It wasn't staff abuse. Yeah one of the meanings are normal but one is still perverted and anyone can make an assumption based on their opinion that the gamer tag might be bad and if they see someone "getting away with it" then what will stop them from changing their in-game name to something worse. There's a simple answer to this, just have the player change their gamer tag.

It's sad that we have to permanently mute a player and ruin their skyblock experience because so many people want and look for things that are offensive. When you see the name does it truly make you mad? Or does the fact that the name "may" or "possible" could offend someone make you want to say it's an inappropriate name. You can't make a player change his/her name or make them donate $50 so they can have a /nick. That's honestly ridiculous. The name clearly was approved by Mojang and it has no profanity in it. Just because somebody may be offended by it doesn't mean you have to mute him. Ex: F***Noobcrew was running around on the server for a long time before somebody finally did something about it. We had Ebola written on the ceiling of /warp donor for over a month before it was taken down. Good job staff team, while we have players trading bedrock and advertising you managed to stop a player with the name "TouchMeDaddy" from taking in chat. GG. Glad to see that we are stopping someone from maybe getting offensive while we have players saying racial slurs and profanity in chat all the time and all they do is get kicked.
I remember asking Cyp, "thoughts on the player F***Noobcrew" and his exact response was "10/10 for the name" .
Once again Mojang created minecraft to have an ESRB rating of E for everyone. This implies everyone of all ages. Their system of names is made to prevent players having inappropriate names so that way those players who are young don't have to see this. This name was allowed. If anyone on skyblock is offended by it there is a reason why /ignore was implemented. There is no reason for him to be permanently muted because of what some think. If it's an offense issue just ignore the player. His muting was unnecessary. There is not anymore to be said. For those stating he should change his name. I can confirm 100% he will not regardless. RobloxianRoblox restricted his freedom to talk in chat for what he thought. Earlier when i told roblox that many think he should be unmuted he told me it didn't matter what others said, then yet he had a poll between mods and said that he's not the only one who thinks he should have been muted. All he did was contradict himself. Unmute TouchMeDaddy. That is all I and him ask for.
Wasn't this a bit uncalled for though? It seems like something that you should deal with in a PM with Roblox. It's good your sticking up for your opinion but maybe making it public and possibly leading to having Roblox's inbox spammed with messages isn't a good way to go about it.
I understand that it's not a good way to get it done, but i've been trying for the last 3 weeks. I want him to be unmuted now. My actions are my responsibility, but it has nothing to do with TouchMeDaddy's muting. He has either ignored me about it or just simply responded with no. Which is why i'm here in this thread to explain why he should be unmuted, and roblox has yet to explain why he shouldn't. I've made my point about my side.
You have no valid reasons to keep him muted. Unmute him. If not i will happily enjoy reading your reasons as to why not. However that will not happen because you don't have any.
I'm not going to read through all the posts, though I do believe that the mute is appropriate. From what I have read, a lot of you are saying that it could be "interpreted" as something else. But really, the fact that this thread exists and that there's a debate goes to show that there are more than one way to interpret the name. If a user was named "TouchMyp****" for example and was muted, it's because people are using common sense as this name it quite obviously inappropriate. Thought there will always be the debate that it was referring to a cat. It might not be so obvious in this scenario, but the fact that the majority of people do understand it as meaning something else is enough, even if not intended. Why don't I get in trouble for my name? Because it cannot be interpreted in an inappropriate manner what so ever, and it is at your own risk to have a name that could be interpreted wrongly.
