So about 10 minutes from when I posted this, I just got scammed. 4 grass for 1 diamond pick. Luckily Lycel was on and gave me a pick when I asked. Thanks again. So I was thinking that we need a new trade system. This is how it could work (requires programming a new plugin. I could help a dev since my major is software engineering ): Type command /trade request <playername>. This then sends playername trade request. they can do /trade decline or /trade accept. Opens up screen like opening inventory. Each player places the items and then grabs what they wanted. If any scam occurs, it would be logged, so that mods could handle the situation and see what the scam was. How does this sound to everyone?
Yea but this is for people that don't have that or don't want to waste all that storage on their pc from recording
Simple download, 5 minute trade (includes trading discussion before trade) wouldn't take any more than 2 GB. If trade is successful, then simply delete the video after, to make deleting videos easier than scrolling though documents, I suggest make a desktop folder with fraps linked to send all recordings to that specific folder. Fraps is also a small download/file.
Yea I know what fraps is and how it works but I'm just saying for the people that don't know about it or didn't record because they thought the trade would be a success. Everything should be backed up
The ultimate trading system in my opinion would be an MMO style marketplace where users can list items for set prices and users looking for items to buy can browse all items in an intuitive user interface.
Well I support it :] I make a lot of trades, and i don't really want to continuously keep on recording it, or hoping the other person wont cheat me out of what i want. seems like it would be a worry free type of plugin
We used to have a trade plugin but people were using it to trade illegal items unnoticed. It was a really chaotic state.
I don't know, I guess I'll say some support, since it sounds a bit complicated to get implemented (of course, I don't really know much about that). Personally, having a Potion Shop on the island I live on, my co-op always asks for grass first before we give things out. If someone doesn't comply we just don't sell to them.
