From what I've seen so far most mod apps that have the most support and that have even been accepted are the most popular people on the server whats with that it's pretty annoying there's people in chat that try to help a lot of people out and you guys just don't realize it.

I would be more likely to approach someone well liked and known by the majority of the community if I had a problem than to reach out to someone I have no common grounds with or have even spoken to before. If you want to be a good moderator you need to get to know the players in the community as well.

I agree with Dinklefuzz, but unfortunately just being friends with someone seriously clouds their judgement and makes them extremely likely to support you whether you're a good candidate or not.

If you "Support," I don't really understand how it helps without you giving a reason why they should be moderator. Could the be biased? Who knows!

Honestly, only if I really see something that they need to work on would I go into their application and write something there.

In some aspects I agree with you, in others I don't. Honestly, I would never call myself 'popular', I have very few close friends on Skyblock, and yet mine is atm the most replied to app. And besides that, no one starts off popular. We have to work our way up to be respected members of the community. Back before I became tmod, I had very few friends, only 2 of them were even vaguely close.
