• Why do you think you should be unbanned? I was given no warning whatsoever, instantly banned. Someone else on the server, (I forget who) asked the server in general what their favorite Factions server was. So, along with about 3 other people, I said the IP of my favorite Factions server. Then got instantly perm banned. I realized just after I sent it that it could class as advertising but from what I'm aware I was the only one banned and I don't think it should've been a permanent ban. I won't advertise again though, I realized my mistake and have learned from it. I honestly just didn't think about it before I wrote the ip.

So when they asked for your favorite factions server, why didn't you tell them it's illegal to say IP's in chat? And how is this an incorrect ban when you said an ip. You were the only person I saw that said an IP in chat. If you have any proof of the other people advertising, send me the proof and I'll take care of it.

Sorry I don't have the proof as I was banned before I could take a screenshot. The reason I think it is an incorrect ban is I don't understand why it was an instant, permanent ban with no warning. And like I said I wasn't thinking. I saw someone say their favorite was a server called mineverse? I think? something like that, but they wrote 'mineverse net' in chat. I thought that as they did (and from what i remember 1 more person did it too) that it was allowed. Afterwards I realized it was Advertising but didn't have a chance to say sorry or anything.

When someone advertises, we don't say, "please don't advertise" It's a ban for advertising.

 

OK. I didn't realize that. I thought, as with [.net], there was a warning. I won't do it again. It was a stupid mistake and to be honest I'm finding .org more fun than .net right now, and really want to be allowed back on.

No, I didn't. I saw someone else advertise a server called Mineverse and henceforth thought it was ok. because this was clearly an IP and nothing was acted on I thought I was allowed to put a different IP as well

 

I genuinely am sorry though. I love this server and hate myself for getting banned. I have learned from my mistake and am not going to break the rules again.

I would like for you to read over the rules: Server rules
And tell me 5 rules and why they're important.

 

RULE 1: Do not Grief. Griefing is impossible without being in a coop so clearly you are either an untrustworthy person or a hacker. This is important because it can ruin someones day if you steal their stuff, and it really is just a nasty thing to do. There is no reason for it except personal gain and really doesn't achieve anything apart from hurting the other person.

RULE 2: Do not Scam! Like griefing, it is intentional and nasty. All you do is make people hate you and it makes people not want to be on the server. It makes you look like a bad person and it makes the server a less friendly place.

RULE 3: No Killing others. You are purposely killing someone to steal their stuff and their xp. Usually done by tricking someone into visiting your island and killing them through fall damage, lava or drowning etc. There is once again no reason for killing them except stealing their items, which makes people untrustworthy. If people stop trusting others, they won't go to peoples islands, meaning no-one will trade with them. If it went on for too long, it could basically end trading all together.

RULE 4: Do not spam/capslock. It is exceedingly annoying and destroys chat. It causes lag for some people, and means any actual messages meant for friends or trades get swamped by 'Go TO mY SKIn C0mP NOW VISIT ME (no caps lol)' repeated 20 times. It causes a lot of strain on the server and really is pointless. It makes people less likely to talk in chat as they can never get noticed, so people won't help others or ask for help themselves, making skyblock less fun for them.

RULE 5: Do not /nick abuse. This is just a way to try to get others banned, by copying their name and writing obscene and vile things under their name. It is a nasty thing to do that makes people dislike the abused, and it makes Moderators ban the wrong person. Overall, all it does is make people turn off the chat to stop it, meaning as with the rule above that they cannot interact with anyone.

Also, I am sorry. I was writing the IP's because someone had said 'what is your favorite Faction server?' in chat. I understand this is does not excuse what I did but I want it to be known I didn't purposely try to break the rules.

 

Okay, after reading this I believe you are truly sorry for your actions. I hope I don't see you in this section again !
