I think we should have a cool down for ratings. The same as posts. I feel this could decrease the amount of rate abuse.

Support. Posts already have a cool-down, but yeah. The rating idea is good.

 

I think she meant that the ratings cool-down is the same amount of time as the posting cool-down. ;p

Most rate abusers come and go. With the cool down, they would only be able to rate once every 10 seconds. So it would be a hassle to dislike every single post you have.

I'm indifferent about this.

Whilst it would reduce rate abuse, a lot more people read through threads and rate multiple posts a minute legitimately. A cool-down would also significantly stop legitimate ratings. Aint nobody got time for sitting around waiting to click "like".

 

Most people have time to wait 29 seconds to comment spam on someone's wall. They'll survive. Most people would rather have this, than be spammed with 20 rude ratings.

I forgot how long a post cooldown last... but i would recommend 15-20 seconds because it would still stop the rate abuse. OR: Make rate cooldown only for the bad ratings or the middle ratings. I think that would be acceptable too
