Between spam, helping new players, and helping on the forums Mods are kept busy. What you may experience is a Mod going on talking to people then going on the forums and doing some work on there for a bit while they are still on Minecraft giving the thought that they are afk or don't want to help.

 

alright So Ive see a mod that is always on Ts and is chatting with friends. When I asked for help he/she ignored me and Kept talking with her friends And I know some mods try there best but if your going to help on forums then they should disconnect Its really annoying asking for help then they disconnect

 

I also noticed that mods like to chat with friends and give them help and make sure they have everything they need, Robloxianroblox has started making fun of me in chat I wanted to make sure I can Silk touch the spawner as I did that it broke and i did not silk touch it he never came to my island to see and never tried to help me with e spawner I asking for him to step down as mod and get some new mods in that want to help the players

 

You can't tell a Mod to step down because he wont help you. Especial after those msg's you put in chat about him. He was also I believe in the middle of a conversation. If you need some clarification with roblox I can tag him.

 

If a moderator has belittled you, please report them.

 

I can tell you as someone who has been a moderator and resigned for this exact reason *cough Frolicking cough* that this is likely the case for most if not all of the inactive mods. As a TMod into the first few months of being a moderator, it's awesome and you do everything that's expected of you. However, without recognition of your accomplishments by anyone, higher ups or the people you serve, it gets tiresome. People treat you as just a worker, but the truth is we don't get paid to do what we do; we do it out of the kindness of our hearts, and if no one appreciates that, then we become less willing to do it. Maybe the solution is not to demote inactive mods but to promote more mods and lessen the load. It is a LOT easier to moderate with other mods on the server because rather than being spammed and screamed at for not helping immediately, you can hand a problem off to someone else who may be free at the time. It also just helps to have a second opinion/witnesses so that no one slits your throat for trying to help.

I agree with krissy, our staff team is great, but we don't have a lot. (Mainly for .org) I don't know about net, but the org mods are helpful, kind, nice, mature, and much more.

 

I fail to see how my comment was rude. I guess you could say it was uncalled for, but not exactly something classifiable as rude.
Other than that, complaints about staff members will always roam these servers, and in general, no server is spared by its community to have that issue - of moderators not living up to their role - pointed out to them.
I'd say, patience is a virtue, eventually a mod will be taking care of whatever issue you may be experiencing.

To be completely honest, only a few mods are extremely active. I'm not naming names here, but you know who you are.

I wouldn't mind having a few more mods, but that's Cyp's decision, not ours.

 

Is anyone going to stop looking at this through a players eyes or a mods eyes, and perhaps think of it through an admins eyes?

You need to realize, too many mods is hard to work with, and the care of dealing with every single person isn't something thats simple in the least.

Demotions, promotions, nonetheless, they all take time and extremely precise consideration, no matter the reason. Anyone on ts can easily vouch for problems having plenty of thought, the server is no different.

The whole mod situation, everyone has their reason. If a mod doesn't know about another mod, they're in the dark of a reason as if they were a player. That's like that for extremely personal reasons, becoming different for each person who is inactive. If they were meant to be demoted, they'd of been demoted, trust me.

As for being a mod, it's not 100% their job to answer every question asked as if its something they're entitled to. The mods are there to moderate, not assist. They're asked to help but it's not the main reason they're a mod. While afking on the server isn't a great view on mods, i do agree some need to just log off, avoiding issues. But to be honest, players are a far more reliable source for information if a mod isn't there or just isn't of any assistance. If a mod refuses to answer you, that's not the problem, its how they come to that solution with you, if its rude or not. In the end, everyone is at fault for bad mods, as its no different than a bad player, no reports means a lack of a solution for them.

I do agree we need new mods filtered in, but mods aren't being rude from what I see. When I am on there are usually no mods on, but when they are they help or are AFK. Now I do see sometimes that they don't message back, but this tends to be because they are asked a lot at once from what I hear. I say we just need some more active mods, and some new mods on the moderator team.

 

It's really hard to think about what perspective you should answer this in because every point could be biased. Just put yourself in a moderator's shoes. They are human and basically the same as everyone else except they have more responsibilities on the server. They have to be able to talk to their friends and work on their island at one point. They also have a forum which they should reply to. Some are helpful and active, others not so much. They still work hard so a full de-rank may not be beneficial. Maybe rank them down a rank. If they are at the lowest rank already. Then they can get demoted. If they know they are going to be gone for a while because of something, then they can post something on their profile [which many do already]. There's also nothing saying a Moderator has to help someone out. A normal person could. yes, I know a normal person can't ban people but plenty of times a normal person has refunded a scammed player. There's limits to what everyone can do. They can't possibly help everyone with everything.

 

They work as much as they can, sometimes they get to you but think of what they did before, they must be exhausted. Like coolcreeper said, they should get some time to do skyblock.

 

Some moderators aren't the best. No offense. I think maybe more moderators like if Love__ SomeoneCalledJ and a couple of others got promoted. #MoreModsPls
