Oh BTW TalentedJosh117 that client hack u posted does not have any effects against the protection from what I see, other than that the hack mainly has a few advantaged maybe used in PvP or on a single player game.

*laughs hard* wow dude, nice try, I have been through it once, we both know I am not and I am not gonna go through that again cause it could have made it to where I have no chance to be a mod on this server since it was a ban and a ban takes that chance away usually.

In my opinion, I think this thread is silly, albeit still useful.

Before island protect, there were several general rules that you would adhere to in order to ensure that you wouldn't be griefed, scammed, and/or looted. Said rules generally included (but are not limited to): not accepting teleport requests from people that you don't trust, calling a staff member to oversee trades/recording the predetermined agreement and execution of trades, not giving out your island coordinates, and locking containers and/or blocks that are important and valuable to you. These rules worked out for a majority of players, and helped prevent griefs.

Now that we have had island protection added, some people seem to think that these rules no longer apply. However, in my opinion they are still wise rules to abide by. As such, if one were to simply /lock his or her island, and "play safely" (general term; be cautious might be a more applicable phrase), then he or she should be fine.

No matter what type of hacks, black magic, and creepy voodoo that you might suspect of being the method used to bypass island protect, lockette, and any other security measure that you name, they can't be used if the person can't get to your island.

So with that said, just /lock your island, only accept TP requests from people you know and trust, and lock/grief-proof things to the best of your ability, and voila: this issue of yours will largely cease to exist, save for soupçon of griefs/lootings that mods will surely be able to handle.

Also, an infinitesimal--if that--amount of illegal incidents deal with extra permissions, such as teleportation, teleportation override, bypass, op, or any other similar thing that could be used for griefing. That's because in order to obtain such a permission, one would either have to hack an OP'd player (Cyp or Noobcrew), somehow acquire the login to the server's console/host provider website, or be purposely given the permission from an OP'd player (which is unlikely in and of itself)--there may be other ways, but they're equally as unlikely. Therefore, this is most likely not the issue, thus rendering your hypothesis that the perpetrator is using some magically-obtained permissions useless :p

The probable root of this issue is some exploit, glitch, or bug in plugin-coding that has been discovered by some mischievous and greedy player, and used accordingly.

Once again, be sensible when playing, and you should be fine.

This is true and I agree that it is a bug, but not all bugs can be fixed so it may be possible to fix it by getting a new plug in, but this could do a lot to the server, so it may not be a good idea at the same time.

Trojan or nuker, I have been testing these on a personal server to find ways to prevent them. (Or fake report :p)
