Support & No Support Good for Suggestions and applications. That way for those who cannot or choose not to reply can still Give a rating based on their opinion. It also helps to keep a general tally on things to know if it really Is a good suggestion, or a well deserved Mod app. Works better than Like/Dislike or Agree/Disagree
Also something I always noticed any time there was a poll on a mod app, someone would inevitably click the wrong one. So then you'd get comments like. "omg you're great, full support! But I clicked the wrong button on the poll, take one "no support" off haha" And then then misclicks add up and it just gets iffy. Plus there will almost always be stupid poll options like "I hate you get off this server lol" or "COOKIES" Stuff like that. Basically, polls are a nightmare imo. I'm neutral on this idea though.
And so is the suggested by Dark idea. I don't see anything that difficult to count number of supporters and no-supporters as soon as there are no big arguments on the application.
I don't support. The reason I dont is because I think players should be encouraged to explain their support. Give their opinion why they support or dont. Having a rating makes it too easy for players to put little thought or reasoning behind that they think, or give vital feedback. "I support you" = support rating... but this doesnt encourage people to say why. Secondly, Cyp misses out on feedback. Third, it takes 2 seconds to press a rating button, essentially it is as rigged as a poll is. I dont think the extra ratings will make a difference at all. Dont like a suggestion? theres the disagree rating. Like the suggestion? winner, agree and like. Same with mod applications. However if the ratings were placed, i expect they will be neutral to avoid farming/abuse.
