ok im not here to get banned or anything im just giving my opinion. rules... everyone follows the rules.. not likely.. oh but what are you gonna do tell a mod? most dont do anything and even if they do what CAN they do? not much. you can get away with harvesting more than 10 islands just for its dirt. you do 1 full sentence in chat with CAPS. you cant get away with that. whats wrong with the rules.. nothing whats wrong is that the rules gotta be made stricter. over all that doesnt make sense... you can get away with stealing 1000 dirt but not writing in caps. more mods better mods. bring back logblock. question.. am i allowed to join a overlords island... go into all his chests when is offline take all his stuff, spawners, diamonds, grass... move it to my new island and still play? is that allowed... or is it not allowed as the leader of the island /trusted the person it would be his fault?
The main issue here is that fact that moderators do not have LogBlock/CoreProtect, which are fundamental for the bulk of our rules (griefing, scamming, illegal trading, island farming). That last bit is a risk the coop leader takes when they invite someone on to their island, and why they should have the items they don't want stolen in a locked chest. Yes, it is illegal, and with sufficient evidence (which would be easier to obtain with LogBlock...) you would be banned, as seen here: This is all in the rules, mind you But yes, all in all, we need more moderators and more block protection. But I guess theses all come with time and we must be patient ^-^
yes thank you, im not saying im gonna do anything i just want to state that those things are illegal and that they should be taken care of but they cant because as you said we do not have the right mods.
The moderators we have are trying their best to do their jobs without a proper logging system. I think that should be the #1 priority for the admins right now, but that's just me.
At the end of the day, while logging plugins are great, if we are not getting one, we make do and keep the chat clean and the forums clean. we just rely on players now for proof more and for players to start taking responsibility for their game experience.
i can tell you all the players that i did /trust for.. but .. how are you gonna know that they took the iron they could have the exact number of iron... how you gonna know..
player responsibility. Players can use shop signs as lockette and store valuables. Players need to prove someone took things, player needs to make sure they dont trust people who will steal from them. its called /trust for a reason.
should be telling more people to do the lockette thing. and also.. people lie you do realise that... thats how people steal. the be their friend then they take their stuff. how can you prove if someone stole 1000 dirt from islands.. you cant.. you dont know if he worked for the money then place the grass previously and broke it again and now its dirt... how do you know. you dont. anyway im done.. cause your not helping much
I don't agree entirely with this. Sure, there is a certain level of responsibility that players should take to protect their island, basically common sense things. But there will always be untrustworthy people that trick others, and I wouldn't say that's the victim's fault for trusting them. Sometimes even strong friendships can go wrong, and what if they throw away items out of spite? I just feel like although it is becoming easier for players to protect their own islands, there is still need for moderators to be more than chat and forum cleaners.
There is still nothing we can do to solve those issues so people must take responsibility. People got so used to relying on logs before and even those failed sometimes. Again, /trust and /coop are commands that should be used on people you trust. There are methods to protect your important stuff on servers. I would basically encourage people to look after their island rather than lie and say mods can help everything. It is harsh to say mods are useless. But we work with what we have.
i see what your saying your point is that mods do with what they got... but why dont we discuss on what mods NEED to make things better...
Mods do their job. Its often hard with a server that has hundreds of people. They do the best they can and are almost always helpful. Yeah and they miss stuff sometimes. There human though!
