Happy Fourth of July, everyone! I just wanted to simply state how awesome this holiday is. If you're unaware of this holiday, it's basically the day that the United States of America officially claimed their freedom and their independence. It's celebrated with Fireworks, Parades, and, if you live in a place like Los Angeles, California or New York City, New York, and you're not under age, it's also celebrated with a large amount of alcoholic beverages! Yay! Besides that, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
You don't have to live in America to celebrate American holidays. I live in America, but I'm not American. I celebrate Boxing Day even though I live in America. I celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving in October, but I'm not Canadian. You can celebrate Chinese New Year in Germany. You don't have to exclude holidays because of nationality.
Wow, your logic is literally iron. I'd understand if you're from China and live in Germany, there are reasons to celebrate Chinese New Year. But why the f*** would someone celebrate 4th July when they're not even from America and live there. Come on, don't be childish. You can get drunk anytime you want and some stupid numbers on a calendar isn't a barrier at all.
Norway and Denmark celebrate the 4th on a much smaller scale. There are also celebrations near American military bases in countries like England.
Oh my f***ing Baphomet, maybe because Americans live in other countries? Who do you think work on American military bases? News flash! Americans work there! I hope you got my point.
I understand you now. But if someone wants to celebrate it, then let them celebrate it. It shouldn't be hurting you.
I'm just tired of pretentious Americans thinking that they're the centre of the world. This thread could've been a status message.
That's what makes us Americans. We are arrogant bastards who can't keep our noses out of other countries' businesses.
I understand if you don't like to celebrate American holidays. No one is forcing you to. But each day, no matter what its title, is a day for which we need to be thankful; and if people celebrate a holiday that isn't to your liking, that's fine. You don't have to celebrate the holiday. You can just celebrate the day as it is... without treating it like the others are less important.
Sorry, I just hate USA and it culture, so I overreacted to this thread a bit. Make this message as a status next time.
We certainly not the geographical center of the world. Edit: There are theories concerning the Great Pyramid of Giza as the geographical center of the world. A pyramid has triangles for outer surfaces. Illuminati confirmed.
I know. I hate lots of the US's culture also; I just choose to ignore it. Lol! Anyway, good call for the status. I'll remember that next time.
