Why do you think you should be a mod?
Seeing as skyblock is one of the only enjoyable servers I play on these days, I would like to give back to the community by helping out as a moderator. I joined this .net in late 2012 and donated within 2 months of playing, because the community was great and I'm an avid builder so I found skyblock enjoyable. I understand as a moderator I would have to respond to players and try to help out in every way I can, always having a positive attitude towards my fellow players and trying my absolute best to make the skyblock community a better place. I have good people skills so I would be more than happy to help out other players in any way I can. I am a very literate person, good with words and speak a variety of different languages which I feel is a good trait to have as a mod.

I am a bit of a forum junkie, I will most likely spend a lot of time on the forums answering threads and dealing with any forum related issues (bans, etc). I am responsible and I am always sure to make a formal statement/answer in my forum posts.

The server almost always has 800 concurrent players online and very few staff on, in my opinion more moderators would be a great change to the server so more players could have a better experience with the server if there were more moderators to respond to them, etc. I have already seen a few instances where someone has needed help and no staff have been online to assist them, I'm guessing because of Northern Hemisphere time zones, and this is where I could step in. Since I'm in a different timezone to most of the current mods, I could be on when they aren't to help out. I'm sure a lot of people can vouch for me, as I have been a helpful/friendly player.


Being a moderator is not about wearing a tag and being proud for it, I understand that. I am a mature guy, I keep to myself and I am always available to talk to about anything, always being responsible and respectful. I would never abuse my powers as a moderator. It's about making the players feel welcome, happy and keen to play on the server more. I am 100% sure I will do my job correctly and respond to anyone that needs me. Thanks for reading my application and I hope I can make a change in the community, even if I don't get accepted as a moderator. Skyblock will remain a strong server due to it's friendly user base and great performance, and I've been looking for a good server to settle into for quite some time.

How long can you be active on the server every day?
I have been playing a few hours per day for the past couple of months, and I can be available whenever necessary. I don't have school anymore as I've wrapped up my final exams.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I have owned my own Prison server that had around 50 active users on daily which was up for a few years until I decided to stop playing Minecraft entirely due to personal reasons (now I'm back).

I was also senior-moderator on a big factions PvP server which shutdown after 2 years in 2013.

I like the sound of your application, and I feel you're mature enough to be a moderator.
However, I haven't seen you in-game, and I've been here during a large chunk of your time on the server. I did take a break recently, but you've been here since 2012 evidently, so I feel like maybe you're a little underactive? We do have very different timezones though, so I could be wrong.
I think you need a little more time on the forums, getting the hang of how things here work, before claiming that you're a forums "junkie".
Overall, I feel like I could very well support if I was assured that you are active, and once you have a little more experience on our forums.

I usually keep to myself on the server, but I will help out someone if I see they need help.

As for the donation part, I was just expressing how much I enjoy the server by saying I donated straight away etc

 

The application is well-written, I appreciate and respect people who have great vocabulary and use correct grammar, unlike other applicants. I've seen you helping players and being active in chat a lot, so why not. Even though I rarely reply to applications and you're a new member, I'll give a full support.

Support. You're definitely on the right track. Don't get discouraged if you don't get much progress for a long time, considering you're pretty new. But your application is phenomenal. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Good luck.

dude, i think you should wait some more time, maybe a month or 2 before you make an app, youre a 'new member' this indicates that you havnt play much time here and you wouldnt be a 'forum junkie. sorry, no support yet mate.

 

The application is fabulous. You seem very mature. My only suggestion is to be more active on the forums. You have my support.
