Hi all,

First, sorry if this is a re-post but my search didn't pull anything related to my inquiry.

What is the point of the god items? I understand god tools because they have a function with the efficiency, unbreaking, and silk touch. Now the other god items, like cobblestone and such - What purpose do they serve??? I use them for the silk touch for glass and ice and sometimes for the flame to kill some mobs, but I can't think of another use for them other than that.

Someone in game once told me they placed god cobblestone blocks and when they broke them the blocks dropped items. Is this true?

God items are pretty much pointless, but non-donors tend to trade for them because they're pretty cheap and easy to get as a non-donor. They're cheap because they're so easy to get because Donor100's have access to /enchant all.

 

To answer "When placed," the blocks lose their enchanting ability when placed.

 

Well, the /enchant all command is given to 100 donors and up. This gods items. Obviously it is useful on tools, so there was a reason for giving it as a donor perk. All other items basically became trade fodder for greenbeans, most of the more experienced players or donors don't even bother with trading them anymore.

 

Lol! Thanks for clearing it up. I always thought they were worthless, but I kept wondering if there might be something I didn't know about since people were so anxious to get them.

I guess people just want them because they are shiny. :Hilarious:

Ahh...I remember when I used to collect god items too. And I used to try really hard at those stupid skin competitions in attempt to win some god seeds and shiz.

 

I remember the days where I thought they were worth millions. Now I want to throw them out ;-; xD

It could be useful if you have a mob farm and using a god item you can 1 hit them, But ya they are useless

 

I still have my alt's /homes set to a very old island of mine. It wasn't my first island as I went through about 7 new islands when I kept screwing up the cobblestone generator/losing the bucket, but it was a similar design to the one that belonged to the first person I ever cooped with for more than 2 minutes back when I joined the server for the first time.

I have a chest on that island which is full of literally nothing but god items, most of which I took from people when they died at /warp mob. I also have many other chests which likely contain stuff from old /warp mob and such. Unfortunately, I can't access any of them since I changed the IGN of that account as it was embarrassingly stupid. I have yet to have a mod look through it. I'd rather preserve any dignity that I may possess than know if there is anything there that is actually worth finding.
