I tired to make de simple obsidian generator like the demo on /warp faq, but it didn't worked...
Is it sill possible to make obsidian with redstone?

The above bug allowing to convert redstone by flowing water to obsidiam when touched by lava, has been fixed in 14w25a and above versions (talking about 1.8).

Remaining options are to convert lava to obsidian the old way or, when possible, demolishing Nether part of portal and then re-creating it from Overworld, again and again.

 

Yes, obsidian gens no longer are able to be made, but you can get obsidian at /warp grass by breaking an enderchest without silk touch and getting obsidian.

As mentioned, the new updates into 1.8 have removed the amazing glitch that made Obsidian possible
to generate. You can no longer use the glitch to generate Obsidian, but you can:

- Purchase an Enderchest from /warp trade in the top level, and break it without using silk touch enchantment. (You need to break the Enderchest with a Iron or Diamond pickaxe )

- Make a cobblestone generator the wrong way and get Obsidian that way. (Not Recommended)

- Ask me! I have 2 and a bit stacks of Obsidian in my Enderchest if you need it /msg me in-game when you
see I am online and I can provide you with some Obsidian.

Hello, thanks to you all.
I bought the Enderchest, and managed to make the portal. Now i'm strugling to activate the portal, i'm putting lava bellow wood, but the wood doesn't catch on fire... Is this the way to activate the portal?

 

Yes, you can activate it with a Flint and Steel, or a Fire Charge, here's the crafting recipe for that by the way
Firecharge Recipe Link.
(You need to aim the fire charge at a block, so it hits the Obsidian, you'll figure it out )

Thanks, i managed to activate the portal, but now, when i stand on the portal, i don't get to the nether... does the portal needs to be on a specific place?

Lava can be used for many things.
