I seen people in the in-game chat advertising for shops (like this guy today, don't remember the nick, said he had a 4 stories banner shop). How do you guys set up a shop at .net? Just make many private chests and telleporting other players to your island? And then trade?

Is there a safe method to do this on, like on the.othe.org server? Or do you just haw to trust people? I give you 1 diamond and hope the guy comes back with the dc of cobble, or something.

I bin thinking of setting up a shop soon, and wold like to haw the details down before I start.

 

Essentially, yes. You have to have faith in people that they won't scam you. There aren't any plugins at the moment that will ensure a safer trade, and although players would have previously traded in a chest at skybase or at their islands, that is currently unavailable.
When island protection is sorted out, I highly recommend you trade at skybase due to it being a safer environment where the moderators can check what goes in and out of the chest.
A lot of the larger shops are waiting until the island protection has been fixed before they re-open.

I didn't realise at the time of writing that post- but island protection has been fixed ^-^ You can now ask people to visit your shop/island with /visit <yourname>, and when you are ready to trade you can /trust <tradingplayer> to allow them to use the chest that you trade in. Remember for /untrust them straight after, otherwise they can grief your island.
