As you may know (or at least I hope you know) I have not been anywhere around this server or website in a while, or if you are one of the people who went on my server (only a few people on this website do) then you know it is down. After I started my server, most of my favorite servers I had to stop visiting, like the Skyblock servers, and my other favorite server, which soon got moved to another IP that I never wrote down, and I cannot find anybody who has it. My server got too time consuming, and so I spent almost 24/7 on it. After I lost Minecraft privileges for a month, I sorta got into other things. Then, once I got it back, it was in a bit of chaos, so any time I could have spent on skyblock (the other server was down by this point) was gone. Then, after deciding to move to Spigot 1.7.2 - 1.8 (I cannot go past 1.7.2 because of my graphics card) I also moved to a network. After trying to develop it, I got a lot of it done, like the main plugins and stuff, but then I had to pay for it again because people stopped donating. I have made a few minigames before, I am an experienced coder in Java (have made a couple games, actually have a project up at this moment) and I knew a lot of Bukkit. But, I kept putting things off because of homework, and other games. Then, it got to the point where I just... stopped caring. My network eventually got shut down, my personal website was with it so that got shut down, all my servers got shut down, my Enjin (for temporary use) had to be downgraded, and my TS3 server got shut down. Eventually, most servers updated to 1.8, something I will never be able to go to on this computer. Then, I had a plan to make a new server network, better then before, but players would have to donate. And Mojang restricts us on what they can donate for, so I couldn't give them anything useful. So I decided to make my own game, which is in a lot of development. So I simply stopped playing Minecraft. But I do have a coding competition coming up soon, so wish me luck! Last year I scored 4th place against highschoolers without knowing much code. Before I go onto the next subject, I just realized that the reason I program and the reason of the next subject, is both started from this forum. Programming was because of what someone posted, and MLP:FiM was because of the gosh darn pony things that gets everyone. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Yeah, I am a brony. I bet most of you knew that already. But it was a mystery to most of my family, for a week. Everyone in school and some people on this forums knew I was one. Then one day, my brother caught me using a MLP mod for Minecraft, and like any older brother, they would tell it to your parents. Now at the time, I was getting bullied for being a brony, but by a person who is my neighbor and never really liked me. Blah blah blah, back stories, blah blah blah. From the beginning, my parents never liked me being a brony. They always thought I was "too old" and that adult bronies are pretty much the equivalent to a pedophile. So, they forbid me from buying any MLP things, and got mad at me whenever I would watch MLP when I am not the only one in the room. But, I did manage to watch all episodes up to the end of season 4. Then we needed to get a new box, so we deleted everything. Here comes the first day of a new school, and I decide to be an idiot and tell everyone I am a brony. Turns out it seems like this school doesn't mind bronies, because I have never got bullied once this whole entire year, and it is almost the end of it. But the weird part, last year 3 bronies in my school (including me), this year (with a new town) still 3 bronies. It is odd how even though the bronies didn't change, the opinions didn't change. So after I found out that season 5 was all done, and Rainbow Rocks came out, I thought that I should start recording it again. Then, after about a week when I was going to start watching them again (I had most of the episodes I missed) it turns out the day before my mother deletes all of them, thinking I forgot. Then, I called her about it and she asks me for the reason why I am watching this show again. Later I got to talk to her in private, she kept arguing, still saying "Well what if Pepe (don't have French keys) liked Teletubbies and dressed up like them and watched it every day and had Teletubbby everything?" Which I always told her that it was different. I finally convinced her to talk to my father about letting me buy DVDs to watch the episodes I missed (TBH I don't think they have DVDs for those episodes since they are new). So then I found an hour and a half documentary (I watched it in full that night) and emailed it to her, she will watch it in bits (convinced her to do that). Can't wait until she watches it, and I told her to not say anything about bronies until she watches it till the very end of the video. After, I think I am going to ask her to take me to BronyCon in August, because my mother wants to do something for me (she wouldn't let me go to Minecon in London, and my dad said if Minecon was closer to us, which BronyCon is, he would take me to Minecon) and I hope she says yes. Quick question, why did I spend about 20 minutes writing this that probably nobody will read?
I'm not entirely sure why, but I actually read that xD Your mum is so mean ;-; it's a free world and people can like what they like no matter their age. My Little Pony may be aimed at kids, but it's fairly common knowledge that a lot of non-kids watch it. I didn't realise there was a BronyCon wow. I'm not a brony myself and I've never wanted to be one, but it sounds like fun ^-^ you should totally go! Oh and good luck making your own game, that's gonna be damn tough. But if you put your mind to it, I'm sure you can do it! ;D
17 and still watching MLP, and proud! Basically what lycel said you should be able to like what ever you want. Gosh, your family is strict. Personally, I think yiur family can mind their own business. It is good to hear from you, and I hope to see you around here more often

I have never understood how anyone could fangirl over kids show about ponies, especially men. This is just ridiculous. I understand that sometimes we feel sad or depressed and want to see something positive, funny and friendly on TV screen, like cartoons or comedies, but this can't last forever. I believe your parents are afraid of you becoming gay or getting life ruined by watching silly cartoon. This is understandable: they may be the part of old generation, who can't accept gays, lesbians and transvestites in the modern world and don't want to let that disaster affect you, so they try you to defend you from it. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know the full story. If I were you, I would try to be more careful and don't dissapoint and cause stress to relatives so much. What about coding, that is great achievement, I myself tried to code and even succeed in making simple games based on Python and some soft, but then I got bored and I don't code anymore. I only use my knowledge in coding for algebra and hard calculations, but other than that I find it pointless.
I am not going to say your opinion is wrong, which is impossible. I understand where you are coming from (only in the place where you don't understand why any man would like the show). The only thing I do not like about your opinion is that you state that it is because they don't want me to turn gay or getting my life ruined. The thing that they are pretty much worried about is me getting bullied, because they read an article about a brony who was bullied and tried committing suicide. Also, I hope you just think about bronies the stereotypical way, like most anti-bronies and my parents think (they watched a Bob's Burgers episode making fun of bronies). The show appeals to some people, just like how some people like FNAF and some don't, and how some people like Minecraft and some don't, it just appeals to them. And it seems like bronies are becoming more and more accepted, which lightens my heart. I suggest watching an episode or two, see if you like it or not (if you already haven't). And please don't be biased about it.
Not even gonna waste time on watching one, I'm just coming from my school friend's experience. He is brony and watched all seasons, episodes and etc. He draws ponies and even made short animation. Also due to his connections on brony forums he found pedophile friends who he enjoys talking to. Possibly he's just an attention whore, but I don't think so, he's not that kind of person, but I can say he is obsessed with that stupid show. Bullying is not a major problem, just hide from people that you are brony and that issue will be easily solved. Society won't accept your subculture fast, it will require years to make people not consider it as something bad, so you better become patient.
The show has been out for about 4 years. Like I have posted, nobody has been bullying me. And a friend's experience is not as good. Just because he saw a few pedophiles, doesn't mean all bronies are pedophiles. Most are actually nice, normal guys. Even if you do get obsessed with it (I am) it really doesn't ruin your life. Also, at least just try. Who knows, you may like it.
My 16 year old brother still watches MLP and Adventure Time and some other kids shows. It's fine. If anything, it's sometimes better to watch them as a teenager because you understand all the hidden jokes Keep doing what you're doing cx
Good news, for some reason I decided to get back into Minecraft and make a server again! Working on the main parts of the server currently, like making plugins and the website, so yeah, more time away from servers I used to play... yay... :ah
I haven't watched the show really at all all of season 1 and 2 but barley any of the 3 none of the 4 and none of the 5 I just make 3D art of it on DA that's about it.
You make a good point but I think you've gotten confused with the difference between transgender and transvestites. - Anyways you like what you like, as long as you're not one of those d***wards that literally have ruined the show for the actual target audience with the innapropriate pictures, my little cousins can't even Google their favourite characters without seeing those disgusting pictures.
