I never said that whey were general to the public...
I just said that a computer can be just as dangerous as a gun so why don't we put a ban on it. Or take it away from people that have "powerful" computers.

    Okay ill use another example.
Why dont we just put a firewall or sorts of that stuff to restrict the internet?
Many accounts of cyber bullying are reported each year and some lead to death. Its also not exactly a safe haven for children that have access to the internet.

They almost closed the facility here 2 years ago but Cuomo reversed it.

I do agree if someone did go on my property for the sake of trying to harm me or another loved one then I would of course defend ourselves.

A standing military against an oppressive government. Written when the u.s freed themselves of the oppressive British government. If the u.s government ever tried to take away our rights, tried to trample over the citizens, do you really think the own governments military forces are going to protect the citizens. No, they are going to protect the government, or should I say the Forces they have left, most would join in the fight with a citizen militia to fight back against the oppressive government. That's why it was written, that's what it was used for, and will continue to be used for.

I'm still sticking to my original argument. That amendment was written over 200 years ago, when the U.S. was a brand new country, and the standing army that existed at the time was not large enough, and well armed to fight off an attack. And also, this wasn't the end of wars with the British and other countries. War of 1812? You know that war where the U.S. invaded Canada, and almost got destroyed by the British. My point is this was written when there was a much greater threat of a war.

Okay and no offense, but you are really picking the stereotypical argument for the right wing.
    1. " If the u.s government ever tried to take away our rights, tried to trample over the citizens, do you really think the own governments military forces are going to protect the citizens."
Take away what rights? It's called the system of checks and balances. Also, our congress can barely even pass a bill. You think they will get bi-partisan support to trample over its citizens? Maybe if there was a zombie apolocalypse, but I doubt that will happen.

You don't understand the what most of America wants. The goal is not to eliminate all forms of firearms. That would just be ludicrous. But don't you think there should at least be a waiting period after buying a gun, or at least a mandatory background check? Sure that won't protect against people that are mentally unstable from taking a gun from a relative or friend, like Adam Lanza the man who killed all the children at sandy hook. But should any person really be owning multiple assault rifles, when they have no use for them other than sport?

2."That's why it was written, that's what it was used for, and will continue to be used for."
Yes that was a side reason for why it was written, but the whole system of checks and balances is far more effective.

hey man, if you like big brother watching over you that's your choice. Also, please show me where you get this statistic that most Americans want stricter gun laws. I'd love to see them.

Lots of places. I'm on mobile, if you are really that curious where it fits in I'll get on my pc. Also just looked up the numbers. 75% is a ways off. You do understand you got your numbers from a news outlet who only tells the truth a portion of the time, as with all other major news outlets. Not trying to down you, but check out some of the polling websites. A lot of them send out a few thousand letters randomly over the United States and get their numbers from those who send them back. News outlets usually make up numbers that their "experts" come up with. I found a few results of 40 something % of people want stricter gun laws. Still a lot of people. But, why should I a responsible citizen be banned from buying a high powered firearm that I use for hunting and sport purposes?

Gun control actually increases crime rate. If you can't defend yourself against an armed robber... You're screwed.

Also my stance on guns is that I would literally carry at least one everywhere. I have loved guns since I became familiar with Michael Bay :t I also have handled a pistol but not fired any weapons.
Plus I feel a bit safe when I know my mum and dad have shot at shooting ranges :3
