KitPvP Arena:
I was thinking like a kitpvp arena, close to mob arena, so things are even, and that the higher donor rank you are the more kits you have the option to.
First I would like to add that there might have to be a possible limit to who can join this kit PvP arena. I was thinking around 20-30 players at a time, to reduce the lag.
Basically you'd have an option for let's say 5 basic kits, and depending on your donor rank you'd be able to access more kits. This isn't like normal kitpvp. Its more safe and you can get small awards, like how mobarena was, fighting mobs is fun, but what's better then fighting people and not losing a thing?
I was also thinking to myself. Well... what if you're the last one alive, I am pretty sure once you're the last man standing, the arena will reset and what not, and it will start over a new round.
It seems simple, and fun. A lot of people have been wanting PvP back, but because of God items, it ruins the whole point of PvP. This KitPvP arena will allow everyone to be at equal, and have fun at the same time. I'd really like to see this added.

What about the hacks that are allowed? We'd have to edit it to fit into standards.
I wonder if chat will look like mineverse with "You're ez" or "You're hacking!!"
- Hacks were never allowed in MA and will never be allowed. Moderators don't have to deal so much on the griefing terms now, so this will be something that mods can now do.

- This is more things for net, ma j was amazing. You get things like gold, feathers, string, apples. Its just something else to do. I don't want to go to mineverse with a different community all about, net. And I'm not meaning to disrespect you, but keep mineverse off of this thread.

When we are at pvp, they should remove all armor automatically so it would be fair and if you warped out of the place your armor will be back on, and there should be like, if you won a fight you should earn points and those points could be spent for armor if we could make like a gear stand there so that it's a little more fun. The idea of not loosing your stuff is nice, but I would think we should loose the armor we bought from the gear stand if we died. Other than all this I support this idea.
- If you ever played mob arena then you'd understand what I'm getting at here. You choose what kit you want click the iron blocks, and then PvP. Last man standing wins. Back when ma j was still here players couldn't join unless their inventory was cleared.

Would donor commands still work in the pvp area? Such as fly, repair, and god? Those would also be unfair for those who don't have those commands.
- If you ever played /ma j it basically won't allow you to do those things. Just like spawn, you cannot type any commands. The only thing you can do is chat normally.

Maybe not kitpvp, but pvp where you bring your own items.

I'm kinda 50/50 on this, since it's been stated pvp isn't returning.
- I understand, the good thin about this is that its more safe then just a straight warzone. Its a gamemode type that allows everyone to have fun and win small but useful prizes. The only issue there will be hackers. Now mods don't really have to deal with griefs, it shouldn't be a big deal. I understand that regular PvP will not be added again, but I think having this can and will be a different type of PvP for everyone.

The chat would probably be filled with people spamming "HACKER" every few seconds. Skyblock isn't a PVP server.

- People will hack regardless. There will be spam regardless, skyblock isn't a PvP server, but if you think about it, there will not be anyone losing. I remember going in mob arena all the time and dying, but you see, I still got something even if it was a feather. I think many people that complain about the spam, are only thinking about the spam, think about it. Skyblock is repetitive it never has anything new. Having this will not only be fun it will give people something else to do and quite possibly keep people on the server. Also, many skyblock servers have PvP. Having straight PvP won't happen, because of god items and such. Having a more safe and easy way to PvP is more simple, and fun. You don't lose anything. So I would like for you to reconsider your no support.

Well,and if /god is enabled when youre on there?
- We can set pressure plates in where you spawn, that will disabled god and fly.


Let me know your opinions on this, and don't be afraid to add in anything.

 

Support, this sounds really fun the only thing I have against this is that I'm terrible at PVP.

My Suggestions (I may add more later):

• Since kit-pvp arenas are usually free for anyone to go to at any time rather than having set times for battle, (like the mob arena was, to an extent) it would probably run the best if there were some form of a ranking system. (i.e.: X amount of kills will bring you up to the next rank, and each rank grants a new reward) Or, a set rewards system. (i.e.: X amount of kills can get a player 1 of 3 items.) It would also be feasible to apply both of these, I just don't know if that would be necessary.

• I feel like adding a kit like the /ma j God kit would give donors an unfair advantage, like it did in the mob arena. I remember when I was a greenie, waiting for the donors with their full suits of enchanted diamond armor to all die off so I could go in and get materials. I was slightly impatient, yes-- however, when donors would last 25 more rounds than non-donors due to having noticeably better equipment, I felt I had a justifiable reason for a bit of dissatisfaction. Especially since there will now be donors going head-to-head with non-donors, an unfair advantage is, well, even more unfair. I do think that there should be something that a donor gets to use in the arena, but nothing that is ridiculously unfair to non-donors. Giving noticeably better armor and weapons is unfair. Giving extra positive-effect potions, however, isn't horribly unfair. Giving the same armor with a small enchant level boost isn't terribly unfair either.

hacks were not allowed in the mob arena , and it won't be allowed here.

 

I believe there is a thread where acceptable hacks are listed, with a section regarding PVP areas.

As much as many people (like myself) loved the mob arena, I don't think it's coming back.

Support 110%. It would be a decent sized undertaking but I think it would create and retain a lot of interest in the server. As of now some people become disinterested due to a lack of things to do and this could really help with that problem.

80% support. the 20%not supported is that donor 100 or skygod has /god. they will get absolutely free loot..

 

Just add pvp back and make it really clear that there may be hackers and items won't be refunded.
