The captured piece is removed from the board. A player cannot capture his/her own pieces. - Capturing is never mandatory: If a piece can capture it doesn't mean that it has to, and the player can also move any other piece. - The only piece able to jump over other pieces is the Knight. Special Rules: - Castling ~ You cannot castle if you already moved your King or Rook. ~ You cannot castle out of check. ~ You cannot castle into a square that is being attacked by the opponent's piece. - Promotion ~ When a pawn makes it to the other end of the board you may exchange the pawn for any piece other than a pawn. - Draw ~ When theres no way a checkmate is possible. - Stalemate ~ When the opposing team has no where to go and no pieces to move and is not in check. - Pawn Double Step ~ A pawn that has never moved can move up one or two squares.
