With the new server update to 1.8 came island protection. However, now islands are assigned to players' UUIDs, not their in-game-names. Now, I have no access to my old island. When name-changing first came out, I changed my name to MindSensation (as opposed to mindsensation). This made it so that I was locked out of my coop, as islands were registered to in-game-names, not UUIDs. In order for me to get my island back, I changed my name back to mindsensation. This worked fine, I got my island back, and everything was alright. However, with the server's update to 1.8 (and the new UUID system), I now find myself unable to access my original island. Instead, my /home is set to the island that I had created as MindSensation when I was locked out of the coop. It's my assumption that my UUID is now linked to that island. I just want to know if it's possible for me to have my old island back.
Was there anyone in your old island? They can /coop invite you unless you were owner which it seems from the title ;-; But you should check with them once /coop is fixed
I've thought about it. I had one coop mate, who might be the current leader of the island. I've messaged her, but assuming she isn't the leader, it'd be nice to have a solution.
the admins do have ability to set island ownership, but I don't know if they've done it for anyone yet
When Cypriot transferred my donor rank he said you couldn't make my new account leader of coop, so I has to do it myself with the /changeleader command. It might be different if it's the same account just a name change, not sure.
There's two ways. 1. Invite your alt to the island. Then the leader has to leave. 2. Invite your alt to the island, and there is a command /changeleader <person> (I recommend the second one, much easier)
