So. I'm trying to download optifine. I got to their website, click download for the 1.8.3 version, then it makes me download this "Open download manager". So I downloaded that. What do I do now? It gives like no instructions from there.
Erm.. that's an advertisement... First, click on which version you want. Next, when it brings you to the adf.ly page, look in the top right corner until it says "Skip ad." Click it when you can, and then use the link on the page it brings you to in order to get OptiFine. Open Download Manager is probably a virus, so I'd get rid of it.
You're telling me, lol. I reset my computer and forgot to check some files to save, and now I'm reinstalling 149 updates for my OS. Windows 8 to 8.1, mainly so I can get .jar support again and get OptiFine for myself.
Uh, if by "I have the link" you mean you're on the page with a bunch of ads, and the one link that should say something like OptiFine_eof_fe_124_feiiegi is in the middle, click that and save it somewhere where you can find it. Once it's done downloading it should install a profile on your MineCraft launcher for you automatically.
Yeah, OptiFine is pretty wacky trying to download it, but once you have it, oh boy it's like heaven on earth. MineCraft runs so much faster, plus you get this neat little zoom feature.
