I recently got into fps games such as Counter Strike. I was looking to get a new keyboard. I was gonna cop the chroma but why spend nearly $200 if I might be quitting competitive gaming? Any suggestions? Looking to buy a good keyboard not a crappy one.

I have a Corsair K70 with Cherry Red MX switches.
It's alright, I like it. Got it for $120 if I'm not mistaken.

Add me on steam for CS:GO. I use my laptop's MSI keyboard, pretty basic and it works well. I'd invest in headphones and mice first.

True, but I'm assuming you can find same or better quality for cheaper. But, Razer is at least a reliable buy. They don't sell crap.

Those suck a♥♥. Invest $5-10 more, those are the solid keyboards for typing.

^ The keyboard I'm currently using. It's a gem. However, your keyboard isn't going to affect your gameplay too much in Counter Strike. I'll assume for the remainder of this that you're talking about CS:GO since the other 2 games are pretty much dead. I've been playing for a couple years and the switch from rubber domes to blue switches made almost no difference in my gameplay aside from the fact that my wrists felt better. I'd much rather invest in a good optical gaming mouse first.

    Just curious, what's your rank?

1.6 and source are just filled with hackers, they pretty much stopped taking care of it lol, like you said its dead. I should take your advice and Michal's about buying a mouse first cause mine is just crap lol. Any suggestions on that?

How big are your hands, and how do you grip your mouse?

I can't really answer that. If you we are talking about razer, what would you recommend?

    I'd recommend another brand lol
Razer is good but they're just not for me I guess. If I had to recommend one I'd say the Deathadder, I've never used it myself but a lot of pro CS players do and they love it. However, Razer is notorious for having hair trigger mouse buttons, that is to say they're very easy to press, so if you grip your mouse tightly then I'd recommend another brand. If you have a light grip, the Deathadder is probably for you.

Just to give you a few additional options though, I'll include a few others based on mouse grip. All of the mice below this point will be optical, so you will absolutely, 100% need a mousepad or they will not work as well as they should.

Mice Grips - CM University - Cooler Master

If you have small hands or use a claw grip, I'd recommend either the Corsair Raptor M45 or the Logitech G302. They're both fairly small mice designed for claw grip users, and their sensors are excellent.
The Zowie FK1 and FK2 are also excellent.

If you're more of a palm grip user, I'd recommend the ROCCAT Kone XTD Optical. Do not use if you use a claw grip. I made this mistake myself, it's brought me many hand cramps and spells of wrist pain. I've used the laser version of this mouse and it's great so the optical could only be better.

I have a big hand so I won't be looking for a claw grip. I'm more of a palm gripper and I don't really grip my mice hard.

Ill be looking through the deathadder

    Gaming Keyboard - G105 - Logitech
This is the one I use and I love it for games like CS:GO and stuff. You can find them at Walmart on sale for like $25 (like i did). It's a great keyboard for the price.
