As of the server update typing /fly more than once (without typing something else) will do nothing. You have to type something else (either chat or another command or just random stuff) then /fly works. There is no feedback or indication that nothing is happening. The server accepts your command and it seems to ignore it

This is to prevent spam.

For example, on Mineverse Survival, ArcherPvP and a few other gamemodes, this happens too. It's extremely annoying ;-;

 

I don't think its purpose, as you can't spam /fly or /enchant but you can spam /pet and others

 

Yeah, for example if you are trading DCs of items with others, you want to use /back to get back to their island when you unloaded the items.

 

You can't type /fly twice, /back twice, /echest or anything. This is highly unlikely a plugin and just a bug. If it is a plugin, then there is going to be some serious problems if it stays enabled

 

The thing that is affected the most by this has to be /repair and /enchant all.

Since there hasn't been any response from the server maintainers yet I feel like adding my opinion on the subject. If this was added to prevent spam, it only does the opposite. Instead of only 1 command being sent to the server to do something, it now takes two commands (i.e. /repair, /repaira (or anything really), then /repair). So when I have to repair 30 items in my inventory, I have to type:

/repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira, /repair, /repaira

Before I could just do:

It doubles the amount of commands being sent to the server (I just to do the command name with the letter a at the end instead of spamming chat or typing in gibberish in order to get around this bug)

Now imagine someone is repairing and enchanting items for greenbeans. Can you image the amount of extra commands being typed for this?

Another example would be if you had 100 chests that you were adding your coop member too for the lockette. Since all of the lockettes were reverted to regular signs from the 1.8 update this is obviously a huge problem. You will have to follow the double command spamming above just to fix your 100 chests or so.

 

It's been a week and the issue is still relevant

 

It's related to the pwnfilter, however I fail to see how it's a big deal. Unless you're spamming commands, which I believe it's meant to protect ^^

I don't think you grasp the current handicap imposed on all players

 

I also have a feeling that its suppose to prevent you from spamming commands, but I don't really like having to type a letter in chat or do something to do it again, its annoying after a while.
