server:.net in game name: sharpshot2566 banned?:no read rules?:yes kits:non island players currently: warlock101 BenTEW problem: i was playing on warp mob and someone died in front of me so i picked up their stuff and realised that it contained a lava bucket and most of the chest items so i held them in my hand till someone shifted in front of me so i passed to to them, further on in the game the lava bucket was passed to me and i couldn't find the person, so now i have a lava source on my island and a bucket in the Rules it says no trading of lava/chest items all i wan to know is it against the rules to have this bucket and what I should do. thanks in advance
Lava buckets and buckets in general are allowed, but you are not supposed to trade with them because they are infinite currency due to island farming. Just go along using it for whatever you please, as long as it isn't against the rules in itself.
Exactly but if you obtain a lava bucket like that mods will ask you to void them or give them to them if they have the time. Ask some mods
Erm.. I don't think they would. They don't know how you got it. Pretty sure they'd only ask for you to get rid of it if they caught you using it for trading or know you've been doing it.
because if he just 'kept it and used it' as you said, that would be a unfair advantage and thats basically why island farming is illegal
He didn't island farm though, so it's not a disadvantage. If he picked it up at /warp mob because someone died, there is no way to tell where it came from, so it's allowed. Island farming is a whole different story.
I.. I don't really have to.. I mean it's common sense that lava buckets are illegal, but only if you use them to trade.
They aren't, he was just asking what he should do with them and if they were illegal or not. I think we've explained it though, so yeah, this thread should be locked. :3
Erm.. okay. Oh, now that I look at it I see why you'd say that. In my last comment I said "They aren't" meaning that the thread starter wasn't banned. Someone asked for this to be moved to ban appeals and then asked if he was banned, so I just thought I'd say that he wasn't. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Happens (つ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)つ
Ok look. If you pick up a lava bucket you have 2 options: Ask a mod to take it or keep it and not tell a soul. It is better to give it up to a mod of course. You CANNOT drop lava buckets using the Q key. You can die with the bucket in lava if you want and that will get rid of it. As long as you didn't trade it with a person knowingly, It is ok.
