I bought a donor package a few days ago and received a mob spawner. I built a grinder to put it in, and tried to get it to continuously spawn mobs so they would fall down the grinder but it didn't spawn enough so i tried to pick it up and move it over and it broke... Is there a way to get another? If i could can you set one to spawn mobs steadily?
I can return one to you however i need to log where you broke it. you can post your island coordinates here or you can message me
Ok, Thank you very much, my island location is: (X: -34305.061 Y: 202.00 Z: -10911.487) (this may land you on top of the mob grinder.) Exact spawner location was at: (X: -34298.300 Y: 225.00 Z: -10917.700) after getting another one is there any possible way to move it? and I was also wondering how i could get it to spawn enemy mobs at a continuous rate? Thank you for your time Sorry for all the questions in advance, I'm new to this server, and it's a lot different then the last couple Skyblock servers i was on so I'm still trying to figure it all out.
There are no ways to pick up a spawner after you have placed it, other than having it accidentally broken or taken from you is the only way you can get another one, unless someone decides to refund it personally. You can't make it spawn monsters at a steady rate unless you use a system to move the mobs initially spawned from it away from the spawner, also. Try making a fall trap with water :3
That was the type of trap I made, but it seemed like after I left the grinder and went back down to my island, it would not spawn any mobs, so I wasn't sure if you had to be within a specific amount of blocks for the spawner to actually keep spawning. If i placed the spawner in one of the water pathways that I created would it still spawn mobs, either fully underwater, or partially underwater? If anyone has tried this or knows the results please let me know. Thank you.
Make a flat surface with water that flows right to the edge. Not off of the edge, but when it stops flowing. Place the spawner maybe 2-3 blocks above the water and close it off, and it should work alright. I'd suggest adding a filter so they go somewhere designated instead of flailing everywhere though.
In future if you need a spawner moves, ask a mod to break it as we have replacement spawners we can give you
Ok, I also did some research and found that there are mods that allow you to move a spawner, will one of those mods work on this server? If there is one that would work, are they legal and do not break any rules?
It sounds like the mods are going to be able to give me another one, but thanks a lot for offering to help me out!
Mods don't work on the server, only on your game, therefore you will have to contact a moderator to move them, you cannot move them yourself.
Alright, well thanks a ton for answering all of my questions, I should be on the server here shortly, so if you needed any info on my island or spawner location or i need to be logged in to get another one send me a message on here or in game, again thanks a lot for the helpful info.
In order to make mob spawner work you have to be within 17 blocks away from it. And if you're more than 128 blocks away all hostile mobs will despawn. PS. Squids are harmful, but also despawn.
