Please do a maximum size of island space. Sometimes I intend to make my island bigger than you should. It may be breaking the rules but I just build stuff randomly o3o.
Pros

• It will prevent bridging
• It will stop griefing
• It won't break the rules
• It will stop people from saying "y u have such big Island ;-; I barely have any space".

Cons

• It will cause lag.
• It will destroy some big islands that are worked on pretty long

If the island limit was changed to 50 blocks away from bedrock, I'd be happy. But any more than that is a no go.

 

My .NET island is about 140x270.

I think this would something impossible to make. And if this is possible, you won't be able to make it even bigger.

I like how mods and players alike have islands bigger than 49x49, when people (including me in the past) get banned for using up other people's designated space. Also, Zambiana, why would you make your island THAT big when you know one day someone will new island and delete it

Owl is right guys, Cyp has repeatedly said don't go over people make new islands... People that follow the rules don't get crushed... I support to the fullest extent.only prob is if everyone had 49x49 then they wouldn't be islands

 

Players just have to be careful because of the possibility that their island will get cut off by someone doing /newisland, but on two sides, people have more room than 49 away from bedrock because of the way that the islands spawn. It's just fine as is. No support.

 

Honestly, none of this matters because island protection will do this anyways... And its coming... Prepare for it now...
