Yeah yeah you heard it, just another player asking for the warps to be rebuilt and such, but wait, there's more!

Now don't get me wrong here, but I think we can agree that /warp grass ( or /warp trade, whichever you use ) is getting pretty old, and it's quite an eyesore now. It has a random fireplace, poor organization, and there is dirt on the ceiling for whatever reason. Spawn is just a whole mess, and it's been the same general build for a very long time. Don't get me started on the parkour.

And I know what your thinking: "But Crawling, they can't just magically pull new and better warps out of thin air!" I know. "They might not have the time to update the warps..." I know that also. I'm aware of pretty much all of the issues you and others can come up with. I'm also confident enough that I can solve them.

What I'm trying to say is, and I know I'm probably going to get a lot of odd looks from this, is that I am willing to take my time and build anything that needs a nice refurnishing.

Sure, I may be a new member on the forums, and you may not see myself in game that often, but what does that matter? Don't judge a book by it's cover, as they say. I know it can bring up some trust issues, but I am completely able to extinguish any bad thoughts or rumors.

Maybe I don't have a reputation here, as a lot of people don't. I used to have one, however. I began my journey on Skyblock (.net) a long time ago, under the username AbyssalEnd. I befriended an amazing person with an Iron Man skin who I can sadly not remember the name of, and we had a complete blast here. If only I could find him again... Oh well. Anyways, I was a pretty good lad. I socialized with anyone and everyone I could, and did my best to help. That's when I had a reputation. Then things took a turn for the worse, my friend quit, leading myself to quit. I left for a very, very long time, maybe a year or so. At the moment I am back, and I know absolutely no one on the server, except for a few people now.

This part is completely biased, but I see myself as an okay builder. I have built for many servers, most of which were small due to opportunity issues, but they were all happy with the result. I recently built an arena for a server who's name I will not disclose here, and it's barely the best I can do. I would make sure to put in all effort possible to make everyone happy with the new warps.

That was done in around 45 minutes. I can do much better if I wasn't given a strict deadline for it. Although, I'm pretty good at completing a build if there is a time limit.

At this point, I just want to say that no, I am not looking for any attention. I am not aiming to become the Supreme Builder of the server; I am looking to provide a better experience for everyone else. I wan't to fix the outdated, sloppy warps, and organize them. This is only me trying to leave a footprint on the server and be happy about it. Seeing people finding less stress in doing everyday activities.

An additional note, I would like to say in advance that if I am given any sliver of a chance here, I will strive to produce the best build possible. I completely understand that your server is one of the larger ones, and you need to have absolute security when handling these types of things. I do not need any form of OP. All I need is somewhere to build, and a supply of blocks. I have never in the past abused creative mode while building before, and I'm fine with you breathing over my shoulder while I build.

I can see you being uncomfortable giving me a higher form of power, whether it be for a short or long time, because I've seen to come out of the blue. Not many people have heard of me here, and I'm still very new to the forums, which doesn't help either. But, I will be exceedingly happy if you would give me a chance.

Sorry if this bothers anyone, as I know from past experience that random people asking for permission to do huge things like this can get very annoying. Though, I have a feeling that I can change your mind if you let me try.

didnt read half of it, true we need rebuilds, new warps etc.

BUT, start with fixing current warps until new ones can be put in.

warp grass needs patches, warp faq needs patches. warp skybase needs part of the building fixed ever since the newisland takeover quite a while ago, more im missing for sure.

scrolled through a bit, no way you would get any power, including creative mode.
only ones with creative or world edit are the admins themselves, and they have been doing this long enough that they would never give it for any amount of time to any player, new or seasoned, including skygods, and mods.



if you would like to build warps or whatever, build on your time(single player or whatever you pick), submit it to cyp for review, if he likes he can edit it in himself.
otherwise, gather resources like the rest of us and make the ideas. fred made the 2014 warp christmas using items he and others donated to him.

 

A simple response to cover both replies, mostly to Rex;

I never asked for any power, and the only things I would need would only be for that time. Creative mode would only be for the time being, not forever.

I do appreciate your feedback though, on the topic of them being redone and fixed, even if you don't support me being the one to do so. As long as something is done, I will be at ease.

 

I love this idea. My opinion doesn't mean much but I hope my support will. Mostly because everyone on the server hates me but that's okay. xD. But anyway, the warps are very outdated. Take warp illegal for an example. You go into the small room with no real explanation with anything, put together very easily and without a lot of effort and everything is very bland. Spawn, as another example, is cramped. Not a good spawn, really. Just full of people that go in and out in a poorly built area. Nothing against the mods, but I personally don't like most of the buildings that skyblock has come up with. I think Crawling is a nice and active player, since everytime I've come on I've seen someone talking to them and being nice as Crawling is back. I think this would be a great idea. My support, plus one.

I think it is a good idea to rebuild some of the outdated warps. After a while of looking at them, you get bored.

You seem like a trustworthy person, but it would be hard to get amen admin to let you do this. I'm sure your builds would look outstanding.

I trust you and you seem like an honest guy. But not everyone will think like that therefore I think you should make it in single player creative and send it to cyp when it's completed.

Spawn isn't getting changed from the Origional basic structure, it has been this was for 3 Years ish and crew wants it to stay.
However many of the warps are broken, miss informative or poorly designed. I belive only players who are OP'ed can fix protected warps, I tried to fix /warp FAQ but It didn't work whilst I wasn't OP'ed. This confirms that all (or most) of the warps would have to be reconstructed in another world or someone who Crew trusts closely could design them in the skyblock world as they would need OP.

which skybase has been like half cut at least on the side towers since the new island take over months ago...

 

Thank you. I think I'll take your advice and build something by myself, but what should I do? If I made something that he decided to use, how would I get it to him? On the other hand, I'm not quite knowledgeable on creating extra worlds on servers and what goes into it, but wouldn't it be easier to make live edit's if I built in a world on the same server? That way live edits could be done, but on the other hand, Cyp hasn't seen what I can do, so I don't know if he would put in the time for something that he doesn't feel necessary.

 

Question;

If I built something in singleplayer, how would I send it to the appropriate member to inspect it? Or, I could just post screenshots here and replicate it directly on the server, but I suppose that isn't an option.

wow you build quick, Looks good although put some signs in to show ere nether, end, normal ect ect and also make sure theres the same amount of villagers as the current warp grass

 

I believe the build team/builders have built a new spawn for net recently.
