Looking forward to returning to .org actively once the reset happens...I just don't see myself doing much until it does though. As for .net, with worldguard, likely I will start developing my island there, too! EDIT: I see now it won't be worldguard, but I have faith in whatever safeguard is going forward.
/newisland replace Or just buy one We don't refund buckets people lose, because that's part of the challenge of skyblock. If a mod is nice they can give a sapling or something if someone loses one, but its not required.
Lets not jump the gun here. We are talking about fresh new players who have no clue whats going on like me and yourself do. Do you expect them to know where to buy it wether its in /warp grass or a player? I never mentioned buckets, read it carefully. I said obsidian. (right click obsidian to turn it into lava) I specifically mentioned obsidian and not saplings because if your cobblestone generator gets messed up you can't pick it up with a bucket because in the update there will be no obsidian generating.
so... .net will be protected someday? thats actually news i have been waiting to hear. yay less chest worrying
Well I thought I'd post what used to happen on .Org when you built outside the protected area of your island. ... Basically, if the island beside you was unprotected/empty for whatever reason (e.g. if the person who lived there before joins a co op with someone else) then there would be no message saying "You do not have permission to build in this area" when you reached the border of your island area - if the neighbouring space was not protected, it just let you build into that space! *This is why you should always count out from your bedrock, rather than relying on the plugin to tell you when you reach the border!* Well, on the one hand you had a larger island if you did this, and on the other, nothing you built there was protected, i.e. anyone could grief it. However - I had a friend who did just this, but then she logged on one day, and someone had done /newisland and claimed the island beside hers! The stuff she'd build outside of her border wasn't deleted, however it was protected as the property/island of her new island neighbour!! Luckily she had no chests or valuables in that area so she didn't lose much stuff... but still it was annoying for her and she had to ask a mod to delete the part of her island that was outside her protected area as she didn't have permission to do anything on it, not even tear it down. Anyway, this is what happened on WorldGuard protected islands, and I doubt it would be much different with Skyblock-Own-Brand-Protection So the moral of the story is ... building outside your island area might seem like a good idea, but in reality, you might simply lose access to everything outside your perimeter, and after the protection update, you could have to rely on the honesty of your neighbour to throw your items "back over the fence" so to speak ^^ If I were a net player and I had bits of my island outside my 99 x 99 island area, I would immediately move any chests, valuables and sentimental renamed junk back into my island area and then start taking down the bits that were outside my island limit. Don't forget that you can use all the space vertically from bedrock level to the top of the sky so if you wanted more space, you could just build a second platform above or below ... x
apparently the island limits may change slightly like a block and this could cause issues but i doubt this is really an issue.
I don't imagine the limits could change without a reset to .Net, because surely then the grid would not match up to islands that are already built... :/
