I haven't watched it myself, but I heard if a good story is what you want, Clannad is A+. One of my friends won't stop telling me to watch it. I will give you fair warning though, it's got a reputation for being one of the most sad animes out there in case that turns you off. As someone who watches anime based on how cute the girls in the cover art are, I haven't really seen many with spectacular stories. However, there were a couple stories that impressed me, those being Oreimo which is 2 seasons long, and Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai, also 2 seasons. If incest bothers you, don't watch Oreimo. There's no actual intercourse in the show but it's basically a sister love show.
No Game No Life is pretty good. It follows a Brother and Sister who get transported into a world created by the One True God, Tet. This world and the things who run it rely solely on games to make all the decisions. Everyone must follow the ten pledges made by Tet: All murder, war, and robbery is forbidden in this world. All conflict in this world will be resolved through games.' In games, each player will bet something that they agree is of equal value. As long as it doesn't violate pledge three, anything may be bet, and any game may be played. The challenged party has the right to decide the rules of the game. Any bets made in accordance with the pledges must be upheld. Conflicts between groups will be conducted by designated representatives with absolute authority. Being caught cheating during a game is grounds for an instant loss. In the name of god, the previous rules may never be changed. Let's all have fun and play together!
I agree, Spice and Wolf is great. You should totally watch it c: Hmm.. other good animes.. One that was recently recommended to me is Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day. I actually just got done watching the first episode. I enjoy the art style and such, but I cant really judge it at this point on how good it is considering I just got done with the first episode no more than 10 minutes ago. XD If I can remember other animes that I watched and really enjoyed, Ill make sure to add em here cx
Akame ga kill, a new anime that's recently been released called Danjon ni Deai wo Motomeru no ha Machigatteiru Darō ka, Durarara and Durarara x2, Absolute Duo, Aldnoah.Zero and Aldnoah.Zero.2, Shinmai Maou No Keiyakusha, I have a ton more I could suggest, but I don't actually have my anime list on me right now, but that should be enough for now, feel free to pm if you'd like much more. :3
