I for one would really like some kind of official person to say whether some sort of reset or rollback will or won't occur.

There are a lot of people saying they are quitting or getting stressed out over the "reset" and I'm sure it's feasible, especially with 1.8 update issues, but until Cyp or Noob or someone says for sure that it will or won't happen, I really would like to stop these rumours perpetuating and get some actual facts... It's getting out of hand, IMO.

People have been giving away/placing all their rares, mass-paying all their wealth, rage-quitting forever, and such things. If the reset doesn't actually happen, some people are going to look very silly. I'm not even sure if a reset is really needed; perhaps any balance over a certain amount could be reduced to 10mill or something like that, idk what is considered rich these days... A full reset seems a bit extreme to me, but anyway.

Could someone please post under announcements whether this Org resetting story is true, or just a rumour? And if a reset or rollback is going to occur, please could we have more info about it? Either way, I'll just keep calm and carry on x

Tbh, I'd like a reset. It's not just the money that's the problem; the disused auto-farms, the old islands, and it's likely that there will be less lag. I don't mind if it's just going to be a rollback... Just, a reset would be more suitible.

As for just wiping balances though, that wouldn't really solve the issue. There was ridiculous amounts of unlegit money, and the first thing people did was flock to the admin shop and donor shop and buy ridiculous amounts unlegit items. There's probably as many dragon eggs as there are planks of wood, not to mention how much grass, iron, spawn eggs, etc was spawned in. These items could be on people's islands, in echests, in inventories... it would be impossible to track it all down or to determine what was legit and what was unlegit. So it's quite the mess.

 

No it could be rollbacked , that would take money back to legit levels and the rares back to the legit level, thats my disagree

 

Will org update to 1.8 if it resets?

Yes Keeper, I was #6 of the dislikes on the poll but I think there is overwhelming support for a reset. Having slept on it, I guess it's not so bad, I was planning to tear down my island later anyway to rebuild it as a public warp so I suppose I've been saved a little work, though it's a little heart crushing to think I'll have to start again with no stone, wood, vegetables or anything... All those diamonds, obsidian and stacks of grass *poof!* gone into thin air.

On the plus side, I really would like to see the server in 1.8, and all those empty islands beside mine gone, I suppose. Perhaps I can be cheeky and create two islands together in a row and have a massive one! XD Sadly though, Whippy doesn't think he's likely to come back and start again after a reset, he can only play at weekends and so progress was slow for him, I think he finds that starting over would be too depressing. Is it unethical for me to use his account as an alt? Anyway, 1.8 plus a shiny new spawn and non-broken economy would definitely help .Org overall, I'm sure there will be a lot more new players compared to the number of old players leaving. I really hope Zambiana is on the "build team" as I think he builds cool stuff

I think it's kind of pointless farming on the broken .Org knowing a reset is imminent, but thank you Noobcrew for confirming the reset, and also for leaving up the server in the meantime, as I have a chance to take some nostalgic screenshots of my island and to hold a goodbye-old-island party. (I spent so long building that barn, it was only just finished... I at least want to use it for something!!) I'll hold it near to the reset date, when we know when that's likely to be; I will keep you posted, all will be welcome! x

 

I had no idea about it, so I'm not on it. Even then I don't much work well with others build wise.

 

Ohwell do they at least know about your "new spawn" project that you had worked on previously? I guess they could perhaps use it as a base, though often that can be bad when someone changes something of your design that you don't like ... I hate when that happens to me I prefer to either build the whole thing myself, or just not get involved, much of the time.
