So it has come to my attention that (after a disappointing miss at getting in the top 10 March voters) somehow the voters list is either:
    • Incorrect or
    • Unfair
    Here's what I mean:

I voted today within one minute of the new month (8:00pm EST for vote.skyblock.org and 7:00pm EST for vote2.skyblock.org). According to http://votesb.com/, I have 2 votes for this month which is correct for the server's time (even though in EST, April hasn't started yet).

HOWEVER, numerous people have 3 votes and one even has 4. Like I stated earlier, either this must be incorrect, or it's unfair as clearly I cannot get this many, if not others as well.

Can anyone explain/clarify? I sincerely hope this is just an error of some sorts.

Alright. So timezones seem to play a massive role in this. For example, in Australia, I'll find I can so,entires vote more than once a day on each website. Or within less than twelve hours or something. I don't actually know how the mechanics work with this, but yeah. It's thanks to people being in different parts of the world. Don't quote me on that, incase I'm wrong xD

Even so, it could be possible to change the system so votes for one person can only happen once every 24 hours.

That's what I'm saying. What appears to be happening is that it runs off of the server's time (everyone vote's at the server's "midnight", which happens to be 7:00/8:00pm for my time zone).

However, the voting list doesn't seem to support this which is why I am confused.

I believe the voting reset on March 31st which allowed people to vote 2 times again on that day.

So I calculated and figured out the timezone that this resets on. It was UTC back in January. However it does not appear to be UTC anymore because I voted at 2355 UTC and 0005 UTC and I wasn't able to vote again (like I used to be able too). This was for both servers. Now it seems like vote2 goes off of a 24 hour system or something similar because I was not able to vote twice today since my day passes through 2 days in UTC timezone.

Regardless, we are all given the same fair amount of time to vote. The thing that puzzles me is how people are obtaining more than 2 votes a day. For example, aidan2509 has voted 8 times. It is only 3 April (maybe 2 depending on where you live). He has managed to obtain 2 extra votes somehow. There is obviously an exploit that he knows about because I have seen this abused over and over again.

Anyways... my info/opinion on the subject

Yes, that's exactly what I mean.
