If you want a Small Simple Stone Generator. Here you go !

Note: Keep in mind that the stone generator will be generating stone downwards. I recommend building 15 blocks above your ground level.

You will need teh following materials:
    - 107 Building blocks
    - 4 Water Sources
    - 5 Pistons
    - 4 Furnaces
    - 8 Fences
    - 4 Lava Sources
    - 21 Redstone Repeaters
    - 10 Redstone Dust
    - 1 Redstone Torch
    - 1 Sticky Piston
    - 1 Lever

To build the Stoen Generator, follow the following steps:
    Step 1: Build a 7 x 7 Platform.

Step 2: Build the Following on Top of the Plantform.

Step 3: Add 4 Pistons facing towards the middle block and 1 Piston above the middle block facing downwards. Also, add 4 furnaces be-hide each piston, but the middle one.

Step 4: Place a block above every piston and surround the middle piston with blocks, so now you can not see any pistons. Everything else build as shown in the picture.

Step 5: Place lava in between each fence post. Then, place repeaters and redstone like the the following picture.
Note: All Repeaters are on their default setting (1 tick delay). Also, the 4 reparters near the middle are facing towards the middle block.

Step 6: To build a ON/OFF switch build the following add on to ONE of the corners of the generator.

Note: When resetting the generator make sure that there is no active redstone on the generator excluding the ON/OFF switch.

Your Stone Generator is now Done!

The title of the thread is slightly missleading as it generates cobble I think

Pistons can push up to 13 blocks, but as you may know Pistons can't push every block. Therefore, the reason why the furnaces are there, is because I don't want the Pistons to be moved when the other Pistons pushes blocks making the Pistons move.

To sum it up the furnaces are there to stop the Pistons from going farther back.

I could of used obsidian, a sign, bedrock, etc, but seeing furnaces or signs are the cheapest material, I just went with furnaces.

A small addition to this guide. If you build this on skyblock server, there could be some lags possible. And then water under fence blocks may turn into cobble. It'll prevent that part from generating Stone. So you have to inspect these blocks periodically to make it function properly.

Thank you for the addition. I was wondering what I was missing. For those who are wondering why the fence posts are there, iridium174 basiclly stated why. If you see cobble under the fence post destroy it or that part of the generator will not work. Once again, Thank You, iridium174.

UR welcome. I got two such generators combined their output in one point. It's fast enough to just stand with godded dia pick in hands and keep LMB pressed all the time. 1 full dia pick makes around 1 DC of Stone before it needs to be repaired again. Such concentration of redstone and pistons in one place significantly decreases fps, so I turn on this factory only when I need to.
