Any idea how to fix this?

It's not my internet, I'm definitely connected and have decent speed. Maybe skype itself can't make the connection? idk, my laptop is connected tho

 

Have you tried updating Skype?

 

Is the device plugged in? Have you tried turning it on and off again?

 

I had this problem.
I fixed it by re-installing Skype (the latest version)

 

Just did a little searching and I believe you have to completely uninstall skype, then install it again with the latest version.

4.3 is the latest I think
and linux requires some form of manual uninstall as well I think
