Hi, my username was originally blitzcomet_ and I recently changed it to Kyguna. I was the leader of an island with 5-6 people, and when I changed my username, I couldn't join back to my island. Is there any way you can give me (Kyguna) the island back and remove blitzcomet_ because he no longer exists? I really don't want to start a new island because I have made A LOT of progress with my friends. I have talked to mods and fixed all of my chests, but none of them could help me with this issue, and they told me to post here.

If anyone is still on your island that hasn't changed their username, get them to readd you and to make you leader. Otherwise, if you are at your island, place a locketted bed and set /homes (sleep in it)

 

From what a mod told me:
If you were the leader of the coop you wont be now, but your old name will be.
You have to get a mod to teleport you to your island unless you are already there.
Then you sleep in a bed and use the command /homes instead of /home.
The best thing to do is to change back 30 days after then change your name the safe way by leaving the coop then having the new leader invite you back after name change than also make you leader.

If any of you old members are still there, you can ask them to make you the leader of that island again.

 

Yeah, thanks, I've already done that. I have full access to my island and everything, but it would just be nice for me to actually have my island back under my name so I can invite people.

Oh, and nobody can re-add me to my island except for the leader which is my old account.

 

Most of my members changed their usernames, and my old account is still the island leader.

 

Yeah, thanks for the help. I eventually figured that that would be my last resort. I don't really want to change my username back, so I might just deal with typing /homes each time. I just wish I could invite people and stuff.
