    I'm very forward thinking....

Let's say I change my name to WoolQueen and lose my island.

I have the coords and have a mod tp me back/remove outdated Lockettes.
I place a bed and use /homes to access this island.

After 6 months of inactivity, islands reset. I saw a thread where Cyp confirmed this.

So after playing as WoolQueen for 6 months, my Megadorkvikki island will be gone.

    Just a thought.

P.S. This is hypothetical. And WoolQueen is an epic name.

If you don't log in for 6 months, your island resets.

Either after 5 months change back or change every month

    or

Change name then request a ban for megadorkvikki (or world your UUID be banned?

That's an excellent question. Would the UUID be banned? I'm really curious.

Pass your coop on to someone you trust, change your name, get them to invite you back with your new name. Mods will then unlock your chests, allowing you to access everything with your new name.

That's a good question. I think do what FreddoFrog said, pass your island on to another person, preferably an IRL friend, and then change your name and get them to invite you back.

I don't really know about this because there is a huge ugly cobble island next to mine and when we used to have the ability to use /seen, I checked last summer and he hasn't been on for over a year. The island hasn't reset.

I don't think you quite understand how it works. If the owner of the island haven't logged in for 6 months+ we purge islands to get rid off inactive islands. If you're active, you'll be fine. :) It would be overpowered if it was deleting islands that were 6 months+ old as I know a lot of players that still play and have been playing for over year or two.

Hope that clear things for you.

That is the information I'm looking for.

She's asking, what if we changed our name and use /homes to access our island
